Joseph, I LOVE prusa and see you all as the top leading brand period. The quality, the hard work, the support, the tracking of every single thing. You literally pour your heart and soul into every aspect and detail of prusa and prusa products. However, that being said, I can’t help but see the mk4s as another upgrade to a 10+ year old design. Over a decade has felt like an upgraded patch to the same look and feel we’ve used forever. Since the mk2, we’ve seen the same rod system, same belt system, near similar parts, and same basic functionality and structure. The design has been left out over and over and needs a serious futuristic overhaul imo. Something so incredible and produces such high quality prints, needs to also look the part. For us technically inclined we could care less, but for everyone else, it needs to look as good as it works. Instead, to some it looks intimidating. For us engineers we don’t really care how it looks as most engineers don’t work in design. I completely understand that the design has to also follow function. It’s time to look into a new build. A new look and better overall design. You can still keep costs down and still look amazing! Now, I’m not offering to design the new look, I’m just suggesting it’s needed. (Though I’d gladly do it for one and some filament lol….but again, not my point). Please consider the next upgrade or major revision to also create an all new shocking look to show your strength and quality we’ve all known and grown to love. Keep printing!

I’m seriously excited for the MK4S! Prusa’s been knocking it out of the park, especially when you compare it to the stuff coming out of China. It’s awesome to see a company that actually cares about quality and backs it up with solid customer support. I’m glad I stuck with Prusa—these machines are a whole different level. Can’t wait to see how the MK4S stacks up and just keep enjoying that top-notch performance. This is why Prusa is totally worth it!

Prusa is great, but the upgrade(3 to 4) is not worth it. Unfortunately it’s better to buy new kit and sell old one since the pricing of the upgrade is high. I have mk3s+ and up to this day I could not decide for an upgrade(don’t want do deal with re selling old one). When buying the kit in a bundle with enclosure the price difference is even lower.

How much is it? I bought my bambu A1 for 400 euros and it can do all this and more + print in 4 colours... has been printing perfect for 3 months.

I love prusa, but you need to stop creating more bed slingers (for high price tiers)... you gotta give some more fight to bambulabs

Am I the only one who thinks this update should have beeen a free recall instead of „S“ upgrade? The accelerometer was missing right from the start and Prusa knew it. The people went nuts for not including it. Now it‘s a „feature“. Same with the horrible cooling performence. The people had to design their own fan ducts to get back good part cooling like in the mk3s. The only change I see is injection molding parts for cheaper and faster production on Prusas side 🤷‍♂️
