Have there been any stability improvements? I found version 23 to be pretty crash-happy.

Great editor with LOTS of nice features, effects, transitions, montages etc. I have used it for my work and personal use and I love it!
The crash problems are much less in version 23, and when it does crash, you can re-open and continue where you left of. I've never lost any project or work with this editor!

Just buyed Pinnacle 24 Ultimate and every time i click on "import" it crash. Tried to set the process to High priority, but nothing happen, tried to update all drivers ... nothing. GTX1070 32GB Ram i7 processor.
I?ve a Youtube Channel and I'm pretty lost without a video editing software.

my pinnacle Studio 24 is not optimized, previous versions are more stable, when will you be releasing a patch?

As with previous versions this one still states it supports mov files natively, yet if I drop one onto the timeline it complains with an error. It's not supported. What you end up having to do is install quicktime, which is no longer supported or recommended for windows in order to get mov files to work. As there are thousands of prores/mov files with alpha channels for video effects and transitions on many vendors websites, it's quite an omission not to support it.

Been using pinnacle since 2003. Great software but always a struggle. i Bought new version in month ago, crashed and was slow as snail when the project got more stuff added to the timeline. I spent $500 on upgrade, 8 gig graphics card . 16 gig ram, ssd, power supply, running on windows 10 i7 cpu, clean install, and not much changed. Was a lot of struggle finshing my project. Rendering get stuck of 4k and higher. Needs update .
Update: New Update fixed many issues, big performance improvement . Sad to see me spend $500 on hardware upgrade when it was a sofware issue.

I just upgraded from Pinnacle studio 21 Ultimate to 24 Ultimate. I usually use clock (Effect in New Blue Video Essentials IV) and various transitions from New Blue transitions. However I can't use them anymore. Now, is there a way I can put a clock/countdown-clock in Pinnacle Studio 24? I think that is one of the most basic stuff....

Been using 18 up until last week. Thing always had issues rendering, crashed lots and small problems. Looking for a newer editor and came here to check out the reviews of latest versions and seems like not much has changed. Since I am not all that computer savy, sticking with a system I am used to keeps me in my comfort zone. After reading reviews of all the same issues I have been having though, I am a bit discuraged.

Ok, i had Pinnacle since version 18. All these versions costed me many hours of time because it crashed often, (but the recovery handler worked fine at last). But then with very long videos it will just render black parts into the video. Stability was until now the biggest problem. And if i read below it seems not be solved?
Then actual video technology is far beyond "Green Screen" see SKYPE or even Simple Logitech Software. It can use Neural Networks to just exchange the background.
But even that is not necessary. You can just remove any background - if its known -. And here? We have just the old fashioned Green Screen and a lot of features that i do not need.
Also All those Features for example that were included with older versions - are not more compatible, can not be used anymore.
And also the packages got smaller every year. Those old versions even had a green background included. Actually not even a printed handbook is available.

I can not express enough do not buy this software. It runs slow and will crash every 15 minutes no matter what you try. Technical support will tell you to redownload software every time you ask them something.

I purchased Pinnacle Studio 24 yesterday but I cannot find the button in the masking toolbar for the face tracking. The toolbar end right after the "object" mask option and the arrows are greyed out. The strange thing is, it showed up the first time I started Pinnacle but throwing an error that my system does not fit the requirements (what even are the requirements for this feature?). After a restart it disappeared completely from the toolbar.

It looks like Pinnacle is ambitious, but WOW, 90% of all the comments here talk about how BUGGY and CRASHY it is. Pinnacle, rather than the super-corporate and bureaucratic answer of 'Report this to technical can YOU, the person responding officially here on YouTube say? I mean, I almost bought this software with the discount sale at $109, but wow, EVERYBODY is complaining about the crashes!!! Seems like such a dissapointment.

Hello, In one of my projects I am using 16 tracks, but there is no audio. I deleted 2 tracks and the audio turned back on. Are 14 tracks the maximum I can use?
