This company needs to have a technical support department where they are willing to try and fix our issues instead of hanging up on the customers. When the program is downloaded we don't get all of the plug-ins or all of the effects to have a proper editing system. Once we can edit (for what it's worth) it locks up and shuts down.

And to add on it, they don't even fix the old bugs! In a frame to frame cut you always have to check your work afterwards cause Pinnacle is giving miss information on you.
The storybord shows you another frame than the timeline.
While using an AMD 5700 processor and a RTX-3090 graphics card, masking simply doesn't work. Only once did it give me that green bar that basicly went way out of line.
After trying 10+ times I gave up. It can't even create 1 frame that gives the same result as the one you create in the example.
Besides that, Pinnacle doesn't mention mirror/flipping anywhere in their help information. For those who don't know where to find it: Editor > Effect > 2D-3D > Change Default into No Preset > scroll down > Flip horizontal.
Don't try to use the 3D Editor CPU on it. Another bug: It doesn't work!
For me, it's also time to find my luck on a better editing program. Maybe harder to learn but in the end if something is easy to use, but doesn't
If you're a beginner in editing you might give it a try. If you wanna edit more video's and stuff in the future I would not recommend Pinnacle.

They keep adding more advanced features in every version, which sadly also introduces more bugs and crashes. They should be focusing more on fixing existing bugs and problems. It's a great piece of software but it constantly crashes. When you contact customer support they tell you that you need to upgrade to the newest version where some of the bugs are fixed.
The problem with that is that the new features they've added bring their own bugs, and then you have to buy the next version again, and the next, and the next, and the bugs never goes away. There's never a really solid and stable version. I love the software and its ease of use, but this failure to address bugs and crashes made me switch to a different software in the end, unfortunately..
They should focus more on stability, putting out patches and fixes. This software is not cheap, and I would expect more stability for this price, at the very least some patches and fixes along the way..

I’ve used pinnacle since something like version 7, and every version has had some weird quirks and glitches the forums are full of them, however pinnacle is easy to grow into

I upgraded from v24 to v25. Significant improvement in rendering performance and speed. The same computer! Very good quality of the program for ... symbolic money in total (compared to the competition). A really great program. I recommend

I see I'm not the only one experiencing problems with Pinnacle. After 14, it became too complicated. I tried 25 and it crashes easily and the blur options never seem to work. I have to move on to another editor I am sad to say.

I just installed it. At first, it started correctly, than i tried to close it and make it restart....nothing happend. I re-installed it, and restarted my PC but it does not start anymore

I've updated through many versions of Pinnacle Studio and gotten generally good results, BUT for Pinnacle Studio 24 the performance became sluggish. I've got a very high performance computer and SSD memory and graphics card, so the blame isn't on my hardware. I've reinstalled, tuned, removed every possible cpu-hogging process, nut nada.

Is anyone else in my situation? I don't want to waste more money on 25 if 24 is the sign of the future.

I've been using Pinnacle 8 since it first came out. I am currently using 25. I've used all kinds of different editing programs, but what really confuses me is that you don't have separate Right and Left audio tracks in the video time-line. It would be super easy if you had this feature in your program. Other that that... no real issues.

I'm still using Pinnacle Studio 16. Because your software is really expensive. I will hand it to you for being cheaper than Vegas or Premiere. But until the day where I can't get it running anymore. I'll upgrade.

Posting this 12 hours later and Pinnacle is even worse than ever before.
When you try to create noise reduction on sound > Corrections > 6 Noise Reduction the outcome is insanely good. It really reduces noice like it's supposed to do.
But....after than, if you make any cut into it, problems returns. Another waisted hour or more on Pinnacle.
I'm gonna claim my money back or ask them to give me version 21 back to me.
THE UPDATE IS HORRIBLE!

Μάλλον οι νέες εκδόσεις αποσκοπούν μόνο στο οικονομικό κέρδος και όχι σε επίλυση προβλημάτων. Έντιμο θα είναι όταν στην κάθε έκδοση που δημιουργούνται σφάλματα να τα διορθώνετε με αναβάθμιση (Update) και όχι να διορθώνονται στην επόμενη έκδοση που πρέπει να αγοράσουμε (Upgrade)! Οι νέες εκδόσεις θα πρέπει να περιλαμβάνουν νέες δυνατότητες. Είναι λυπηρό που τόσα χρόνια περιλαμβάνετε τα ίδια "παιδικά" transitions που δέν τά χρησιμοποιεί κανένας σε σοβαρά βίντεο που κάνουμε. Χρησιμοποιώ μόνο το Pinnacle Studio από το 11 μέχρι το 23 που έχω τώρα. Κάθε φορά πληρώνουμε την νέα έκδοση αλλά το αποτέλεσμα είναι πάντοτε το ίδιο σχεδόν. Επίσης, τα τόσα αρνητικά σχόλια δέν τά παίρνουν στα σοβαρά οι κατασκευαστές του λογισμικού και δέν τους ενδιαφέρει να λύσουν τά σφάλματα. Αν και όλα τα χρόνια μου στο editing χρησιμοποιώ μόνο το Pinnacle Studio δέν μπορώ να το συστήσω σε άλλους. Λυπάμαι...!

I just installed Version 25 Ultimate. Are there no New Blue FX filters in the FX menu any longer? I've seen tutorials with several versions, New Blue I, II, III, IV, V, VI, Stabilizer, etc. I have none of these. I have only 104 FX filters including the audio filters. Corel Video Studio Ultimate has 135.

I'm having problems syncing between video and audio. Any format I configure for export comes out with some kind of problem, the most common is lack of sync. I bought the 23 and so far I haven't been able to produce a job. 😭

They should focus on "new" products, not just slight changes to the same stuff that has not changed, well since I can remember. (probably since version 12 ? or less ?)
They have the same effects, using the same glitchy and slow libraries for like 10+ years now. (who else has issue with random green frames? or the stupid loading arrow glitch frame?)
Main focus should be on video encoding acceleration via HW, faster editing, rendering. Man, even the text feature feels sluggish as on windows95 and 486 CPU.
Multicore support, hello ??? using PC with 16 core CPU feels just as slow as using any 4 core PC.
Don't get me wrong, I like the software or rather I have Stockholm syndrome, since I use it since version 12 or less probably, but it feels just like a scam since the changes are so minimalistic over the years.
I wonder if there are more than 1-2 coders working on it.
