I tore my meniscus two years ago. I paid for an MRI which identified the tear.

My "appointment" with a knee "specialist" lasted less than 30 seconds (that's NOT an exaggeration); he did not even look at the MRI; he did not carry out any kind of examination or simply said"Yes, we'll get you in and operate on that" and waved me out of his consulting room.

I began an exercise programme with an online sports clinic and 18 months later had completely healed the meniscus without surgery.

Do not put your trust in these people blindly. Some of them are less doctor, more smug charlatan.

What doctor specializes in this? What makes it hard for a person to be unable to stand up from or lowering to a squatting position where inner knee hurts excruciating pain?

I have all that n thev refused me sugergy i am 53 i have rhemotoid arthrithis pain i can only walk limited becus i take steriods i do not go out nomore i been like this for nearly year 10 month thev offered me injection since my knee it affects my buttock lower bk i generally have so much diffulty in walking sitting getting up toilit cannot go up the stairrs or down

My knee was injured going in to a squatting position. Had extreme pain and jumped up hobbling on my leg. That was about a week ago. I can walk now but can only squat down so far now without extreme pain. Have an MRI this week. Any ideas ?

I have this right now, my leg is locked into a bent position, I’m in extreme pain hurts like hell to walk, went to the hospital they just gave me pain meds and sent me home and said to book a MRI I went to book an MRI and I can’t get in till December 18th. I have no pain. Knee just feels sore. There is clicking and some locking if I walk fast. But its going away. Muscles around my knee feel sore. Maybe its not that. No swelling. No bruising.
