Very good information to know that I am 65 years old. And learn more about my inner journeys. Help is available and I now recognize the symptoms.

My grandfather had the HOLEP procedure in January of 2022. He feels great and is able to sleep well.

I had early stage prostate cancer 10 yrs ago and had it removed via the DaVinci robot. I also had a HUGE prostate, a very high PSA number along with bad urination issues. My brother had all the same problems as me except NO cancer yet. He had a similar remedy as this also done via the robot technique. Now he can pee like a teenager. Progress is definitely being made!

I've had that cystoscope put inside of me at least 4 times for various reasons and procedures. The first time was a traumatic experience, as I didn't know what to expect. Each experience was so painful, I never want to do it again. I'm always amazed at how each doctor that said it was necessary to see what was going on inside my bladder, said there would only be a little discomfort. This is something that should only be done under anesthesia.

I'm 66. What I like about the Aquablation procedure is that it doesn't matter what size the prostate is. With the Rezume procedure, similar to this procedure, it cannot be performed if the prostate is too enlarged. The Aquablation procedure also sucks up the prostate cells that have been destroyed unlike the Rezume method does. Rezume uses hot steam (painful) to shrink the prostate where the Aquablation seems to be pretty much pain free to achieve the same results.

I had this procedure done last June. I had a 170 cc (very large) prostate. I suffered from terrible urination problems for years. After two biopsy's and a MRI (results benign) I had the Aquablation surgery. I now pee wonderfully, but unfortunately, my sphincter was damaged and now I suffer from mild, to severe stress inconvenience. It's been a nightmare. The possibility of incontinence was never discussed and that is partly due to it being a new procedure and the super enlargement of my prostate. I am seeing a surgeon now to see if I qualify for the "artificial sphincter". It's unfortunate but I don't blame my surgeon. I am angry and disappointed that it was never mentioned and or discussed. If you research this procedure you will find that it is extremely rare that this happens. My urologist has performed a number of these procedures and never had a case of incontinence. If you consider this surgery beware.

First off, this is really a commercial masquerading as a news article. But it is dealing with an important issue. I am in my sixties, had serious problems urinating, and four years ago had prostate surgery. Normally I am against elective surgery and for mandatory surgery, but my urologist talked me into it. He used the plasma blasting technique, it wasn't fun, and took nearly a month of recovery (hanging out at home with the catheter). It really solved the problem and sometimes reminds me of the movie the "Gigolo" where near the beginning the gigolo does a #1. It made me 10 years younger. Between passing through a lot more fluids and the doctor blasting out whatever, my PSA has gone below 1. It is really the dream of modern medicine - to perform a surgery that completely solves the problem and has no downsides except costing a bunch of money. So if the same thing can be done with water instead of plasma that makes a lot of sense to me.

There is a flaw in these kind of treatments. Normally patients keep coming back to their doctors, and I did that with my urologist until he gave me surgery. Once you are cured there isn't much reason to go in except for him to look at the lab results and say your PSA looks good. So unlike normal doctors, urologists have to keep finding new patients to cure so they have to do things like go on TV to convince the hesitant.

I'm less than one month away from a TURP. Scared shitless. This is great info.

Rezum (& others) were suggested by my Urologist but I chose the TURP because more data was available for the TURP as it had been in use longer. My surgery was postponed for a year, when back to start the prostate process, the Urologist suggested TURP over the Rexum, Green machine and the other outpatient techniques. The last was showing the TURP showing more effectiveness and that the TURP lasted much longer.

I've had high PSA levels for 2 years and have been under VA care. The VA have not even given me the most basic prostrate exam (the digital rectal exam) but they do give you pills. After my latest do nothing appointment with the VA I made an appointment with Dr. Ali Kasraeian and it was a world of difference. Digital rectal exam first visit, MRI a week later, I have a blatter test, and prostrate biopsy scheduled. Complete professional, this is how prostrate care should be.

I LOVE THE DOCTOR'S PRESENTATION. I SHED A COUPLE TEARS IN HIGH HOPES IT WORKS AS HE EXPLAINED THE EFFORTS THAT WENT INTO THE PRODUCT. I HAVE TRIED SO MANY THINGS. MY PSA SCORE IS ONLY 5.23. BUT IT CAN ONLY GET WORSE AS TIME GOES ON. NOTHING ELSE SEEMED TO DO AS ADVERTISED BEYOND THE 2ND MONTH OF USE. I HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS PRODUCT
