Kia Venga 2015 Flip Key Repair.

Kia and Hyundai keys suffer from blades that stop flicking out as they should, this is just wear and tear. This video shows you how to fix your key. You'll need a few basic tools plus a pin punch.
The important thing when you fix this key is that you are careful when you remove the green circuit board but more importantly, very careful removing the transponder chip. If you for the chip out of the old case it may break and then your car will not start.

My key stopped springing out when I pressed the button. After watching this video, I saw how the fob came apart and how it worked inside. It seems like my spring somehow slipped and wasn't creating tension. It works now, but I will need to get a new case in the future because it is getting a bit loose. Thanks for the video.

can't locate a new case to fit the key as the hole was small. any idea how i can find a suitable case to take the old blade? appreciated

Why do the whole pin thing at the beginning since you end opening both units? Can't you just transfer the old key assembly to the new unit? Another question, if the only problem with the old unit was that the key wasn't snapping open, is it possible that issue could be fixed? Maybe rewinding the spring? Thank you.

Hi i was just wondering if you knew how to reconnect a ford cmax grand 2014 keyfob, The battery drained but i have now charged it back to full health but it wont work .I can start the car but not sure what to do ? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you 👍🎄

If I use a narrow, pointed needle tool to punch out the pin will I wreck the pin or the latch?

Thank you for this video learned a lot 🙏 but is there a way to open it without braking it? Mine work perfectly but working on a small project and want to remove the key fron the remote and 3D print a case for the key.
The idea behind it is that I can keep the remote attached to me without taking it of and use the key that I’ll hide inside the car to turn it on or even put it inside my other 3D printed key Swiss holder with a magnet that will hold it in place

Now here is m other question: can the car turn on with just the physical key or I need to install next to it the micro controller the one you used the solder to remove?
