Ace hardware does it also. I’ve had two key fobs made there and they’re at least half the price of getting it done at the car dealership.

I had my spare keys stolen for my GMC Acadia.... Will relearning off my existing fob make the stolen one no longer function? I'm so worried they are going to steal my car.

I bought a key FOB online for my 2015 Subaru Outback and took it to a locksmith. He tried to program the FOB with his computer device but was unable. I had to take it to the dealer. I think it depends on the brand of vehicle.

I have a 2016 Buick Encore and the door unlock button was breaking off (literally caved in to the inside of the fob shell). I was able to order a replacement shell for about $10. I was able to move the circuit board and the key to the new shell. Taking the old fob apart was a painful process. You have to be careful not to damage the internal circuit board while trying to get it out. I was successful consequently saving myself $100-$150 bucks.

even a locksmith couldn't provide a new Toyota key for my 2019. Only the dealer, and even they had to specifical order it

I bought a proximity key for my Hyundai Elantra on eBay and the local dealership claimed that they couldn't program it. What a waste of time and money.

Batteries Plus is expensive as shit, especially for simply programming the FOBs at well over $100.00 each.
