Thanks for watching! This was the craziest and most ambitious video I've ever done!

This is literally how I research anytime I’m trying to buy something. “What’s the best…” and then I end up with like 80 tabs of results and I have to go through them all. LOVE this vibe.

This is as good as any product evaluation we've ever seen an artist conduct! You did an amazing job designing and executing these tests. We would love to see the lightfastness evaluations! We are so glad you mentioned the cost to manufacturers of conducting tests with special equipment to conform to ASTM D6901-15 standards for colored pencils. The Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) has devised its own tests for artist-consumers, which are available to members, along with the organization's own results.

Your work ethic is so underrated because I can’t even begin to imagine how many hours you and your team put into this video! As a colouring pencil artist, it’s nice to be introduced to some new gems.

Lightfastness is so important to me as I do a lot of commission artwork and I don’t want the colors fading if they end up hanging the image somewhere the sun shines often. I would love to see that test. You’re amazing!

Still a novice in my art journey and these reviews are SO helpful in deciding what to purchase. You're doing a public service, Sarah.

My heart melted when the baby said "I can help you" just because he wanted to touch the pencils. Thank you so much for this video, it must have been crazy to make but it was such a joy to watch.

This gives the same vibes as Jazza trying to find the best alcohol marker.

What an absolute behemoth of a video! I honestly can’t comprehend how you manage to go to such lengths without getting completely overwhelmed by the process- you’re a warrior! Thank you for all the long and hard work you put into your videos ❤

Wow, Sarah! Your research and commitment to find the best are outstanding. It is interesting that your two finalists, Caran d'Ache Luminance and Derwent Lightfast were also evaluated to be among the best by a few other colored pencil artists (who also loved Faber-Castell Polychromos, which you marked down a touch on blending). Great minds think alike. God bless you. Thank you so much again for your thoroughness. Your art is beautiful.

I'm about half way through the video and I have to sub. Your ambition and testing/comparisons speak to me on an artist level, a scientist level, and a pen/pencil hoarder level too. I can't wait to watch all your videos!

You are an angel!! Testing all those pencils is exhausting, and keeping this video interesting? Oh that's a whole new level. Thank you! 😍

Star Joy golds are awesome and they have awesome skin colors for anyone who likes to draw portraits. But the original Star Joys were even better if you can find em being resold you should grab em. And also the Schpirrer Farben and Markart/Nyoni are top picks of mine personally. I also recommend Colleen pencils for a softer Prismacolors feel. I know a lot of people think Brutfuner Squares are Gods budget gift to the world… they’re alright. Prismacolors, Luminance, Polychromos, Pablo’s and Arteza are all worth the price. Just buy 1 or 2 sets of those rather than 10 sets of budgets. You’ll get much nicer looking work.

the way i would watch 4 hour long videos of each and every single test separately 😭my nerd heart is so happy
having said that, i think you condensed the huge amount of information into this one video very smoothly and effectively, and i can only imagine how hard that was
really cool

What a wonderful pencil comparison. I was deciding to go with the Caran d'Ache Luminance or the Lyra Rembrandt and you found the Caran d'Ache to blend a bit better than the Lyra... Thanks for all the hard work. I think you did very well putting these pencils to the test.

As a beginner colorist, I did some online research before buying any big sets, and your video and hard work confirmed some brands that I now decided to dedicate to it. Thank you very much! This was definitely more then helpful!! Amazing job! 👍🙏😉🤗
