A Bug's Life - Flik and Atta + Flik's new plan

Flik may be out of the blue now.

I really, really, really just love how sincere and humble Atta's apology was to Flik. We need to return to characters actually acknowledging their misjudgments and mistakes instead of brushing them under the rug. She recognized Flik felt the way she did all the time, and never noticed it until now.

One of my favorite parts of the movie is the plan to build a bird. Especially with Atta she was learning how to be a queen and she's doing the best she can. If there was ever a sequel the colony would still be thriving.

I have seen people criticize Atta knowing Hopper's fear of birds as a plohole, but actually in the context of the film it justifies this. Hopper plant so much fear and authoriity to them that 'making a bird' doesn't cross their mind, its also not like they can just go out to ask a bird to eat Hopper since the bird would just see them as their prey, this was referenced earlier in the move with the council scene. Otherwise I'm sure Atta or the Queen would have took action. It's like criticizing the fact the ants could outnumber Hopper, again, even Hopper knew this but his authority over them makes them scare to not consider that until Flik stands up to him.

funny enough, the bird did work a it scared off hoppers gang leaving him by himself. tho he was to dumb to just go with them and decided to get revenge on flik only to get eaten by the real thing near the end
