Crazy how as a kid I legit thought quicksand was gonna be one of adulthood’s main threats.

A major danger with quicksand is that people become stuck and drown within an incoming tide before they can remove themselves.
In it's weird attempt to make quicksand sound like an almost friendly place, this video doesn't explain the drowning outcome, and yet records show that hundreds, maybe thousands of children and adults have become trapped and died in this way.
