Quadriceps tendinopathy (also known as jumper's knee) presents as pain on the top side of the patella. While a rehab program for patellar tendinopathy may be helpful, there are some modifications that can make the rehab more effective.

Do not do the reverse Nordic unless your quad tendon is ready for it. I tried it and really reaggravated my quad tendon. I have quad tendinopothy with a minor tear.

My knee hurts above the kneecap but only when slightly bent. It doesn't matter if I'm laying down or standing up.

I am so grateful for this - I have no idea how I got a tear in my quadricep, but I want it to fix soon - missing my workouts 😢

Going down into a squat before I hit 90 degrees hurts. The pain is about 70-85. Once I hit 90 degrees and deeper there is no pain. And oddly no knee pain with lunges on the loading knee. Can’t say the same for the back knee hanging down. 😑

I can't even take the stairs without pain. Not to say if I get down on the floor, I (try) getting up, and cry because of the pain. I don't have an official diagnosis.

So what should I do if I have both Quadriceps tendinopathy and the patella issues as well? Both exercises?

How do you strengthen it aswell to eliminate some possibility of this happening in the future

I’ve done everything form therapy’s to exercises, Epsom salt you name it, I’m about to buy a jumpers knee brace to see if that works but man it’s been rough

I was doing Bulgarian split squats and got relief when my knee with pain was the back leg and I was actively driving the top of my foot into the bench. This makes sense now. I’m gonna start doing duck walks as well now. Also would isometric quad extensions from a flexed knee position help?

How often do I do this and how many sets/reps for each movement?
