Key takeaways

Good Sleep is very important
Short nap after every intense learning session
Several very short (ideally 10 secs) periods of doing nothing, literally nothing in every learning session

Duration of learning session is whatever that works for you

My life going from an engineering student (no sleep so I could "study more", very very depressed and irritable) to a working engineer (well-rested, productive, confident) is very different.

The engage-disengage cycle also maximises the way our memory works. We have a primacy and recency bias, which means we remember the first and last thing better than the middle. Taking breaks when learning creates more beginnings and endings, hence more encoding and better retention.

Its very similar to muscle building. You can only train your body for so long before it begins to be detrimental, so you rest and allow your muscles to recover and become stronger. Your CNS also retains that memory to work harder the next time, so it makes sense the brain would follow a similar process.

these tips have helped me almost effortlessly remember what I have learned. I used to study so much more, but now I study more effectively and intensely using these 90 minute cycles and yoga nidra afterwards! it really works!

I could say when I'm learning something in a prudent time and then have a nap for 30 to 45 minutes, so then I feel that I got everything I've studied previously, and that is so crazy, other case I could mention is the others things I am able to remember the task before that activity. Gaps are a good tool to learn whatever you want. An advice is never to get stressed because in that way, you are not be able to focus and learn, so take a considerable gap when you think is necessary.😀🙏

Go figure! All that day dreaming through the school day and using my imagination as a kid is why I learned so much quicker than my fellow students…if only I could’ve known this then and just raised my hand and helped everyone else

Damn, science feels so behind now. My spirit had revealed this to me through its regular methods of communicating with me.
I then tried it over time and now, I was crowned as the number 1 leaner in my region at my company (IT), and, I am number 1 at closing tickets at the same time - so I did not allow my learning to disturb my core work, in fact, it made me even more efficient at what pays the bills while I am actually growing as an Artist. My spiritual and financial needs are well met, and here is a video confirming that the spirit is scientifically correct in fact, the spirit is more than scientifically correct, it is alchemically correct - which is the kind of correctness that is NOT bounded by the speed of light. Its lighter than protons, so the speed it deals with is infinite. Science feels behind to me now, catch up doc, I haven't been sick in 2 years and I eat nothing but lentils and rice, and maybe eggs (i like em boiled with some fruits on the side doc, it works so I save my monies doc, catch up doc, I have a strong muscular body too and my skin glow is without lotion - teeth white enough to kiss your daugher doc and thats without toothpaste just brushes. what more can a spiritual woke being say doc, its time we cut the play.

I love this tips, they're so basic and Fundamental cause their closeness to the lymbic system. It really works and it's free! i.e. staring at one fixed point for a minute.

I'm 58 and have autism and dyslexia. I struggle to understand most things I read, never mind remember it. I wonder if this would help me. About the only things I can seem to learn is hands on work. Growing up on my family's ranch I know how to train horses or build a fence but things like banking, investments, insurance, taxes, etc.. make no sense to me. If I have to read it or if its numbers I can't wrap my mind around it.
