First, I wanted to say that I enjoy your videos Kevin. When teaching my staff members how to create a drop-down list, I typically create a named range for it and reference that name in the data validation which makes it easier to reference. Additionally, I place all of the list in a separate tab called "lists" which I then hide. I do this because if staff don't know what those values are for and then delete the column, then they will lose the values for their drop-down list.

Hmm, I made this a while ago and use it daily, but for some reason it doesn’t display the options as I type. I inserted a table first to utilize the sort and filter function. Maybe that is the reason… I’ll have to mess around with it again.

Two notes.
The Drop Down List will appear in the Formula Bar if Options -> Advanced -> Allow editing directly in cells is unchecked.
Only whole words are found. In the example shown, if "Nutterbutter" was in the list, typing "butter" would not show it.
Still a great upgrade!
