New Christian and certified nerd here. I am happy to report that I’ve generously contributed to this year’s list of Bible sales !

It's so easy to lose track of time reading the NLT, I almost always end up reading more than I anticipated 😅

My personal top picks in order are: ESV, NIV, NASB, CSB, NET. The NIV has a special place in my heart. I experienced conversion when I couldn't sleep one day and there happened to be a paperback NIV84 lying around. I picked it up out of curiosity, not knowing that the Holy Spirit was about to change me forever. Following this experience I began to read the Bible for the first time in my life and the NIV made it so much easier to grasp. I can't believe that was 21 years ago.

My Bible for the year is the NASB 2020 and I’m loving it. The CSB is still my favorite. I say New American Standard or I’ll spell it out N-A-S-B. I don’t normally say nasby

I am solely responsible for the CSB moving up to 5th place. I discovered it last year, and have bought a chronological, an ancient faith, 2 large print compact, 2 thinlines and a large print goatskin. My wife literally asked me to stop buying bibles.

Glad to see the NRSV back in the top ten. Really like that translation. Just wish there were some better NSRV premium bibles available.

I commonly say the letters N-A-S-B and often add the year (77, 95 or 20).

My top 5 are NKJV, NASB, ESV, Berean, and Complete Jewish Study Bible

I love the ESV but it's good to see the CSB continue to gain traction.

I've always called it N-A-S-B, but Morris Proctor, who was the premier LOGOS software trainer, always called it NAS-B. I'll always think of him when I hear it said that way. Great video, Tim!

The NKJV would increase considerably its sales if they included editions with the Apocrypha. Many Catholics and Orthodox would love to have that option available.

Great video Tim! Love seeing this list. I always refer to as the N-A-S-B. Glad to see The NLT hanging on to that number 4 spot!

The kjv and esv are my favorite. I grew up reading kjv so I’m used to it. If I have trouble with a verse I will read it in esv and helps me.

I am older... 67 yrs old - in the 70's I used KJV and NASB then later the Living Bible - In the 1980's to 1996 I used the NIV84, then in 1996 the NLT came out - so 1996 until now I used the NLT (But I also used the TNIV and NIV2011 - I have & like the Thompson Chain NIV 2011 that Zondervan recently updated). Love your videos and updates. My church uses NKJV. At home I read & study with the NLT.

I have always called it the N-A-S-B, it was only recently when I discovered Mark Ward's channel that.I found out people say "Nasby."

My favorite translation right now is NIV. It's easier to read and for some reason, I find it easier to memorize than the ESV or CSB, and It was my grandmother's primary bible when I was growing up so it makes me think of her. I have always loved the NKJV too.

My top 5 translations would be:
1. NIV
2. NKJV
3. NLT
4. NASB (I have always preferred it to the ESV)
5. RSV (basically I like that it keeps some old Elizabethan language when referring to God)

That’s a great point about the pronunciation. Maybe ask the publishers? I would just spell out the NASB (NAS-by sounds like “nasty” 😂) and NRSVue (although an N-R-S-View sounds funny, too).

I’m also with you on a light NKJV update, mainly restoring some of the choices of the KJV, but also updating the textual notes. I’ve also fallen back in love with the KJV over the last year.

The ESV, NRSVue (woot!), NET, NLT, and KJV are probably my top five. ✌️🤓📚

This year I
am using the CSB Day by Day Chronological Bible for my reading plan and my study bible this year is the NIV Cultural Background Study Bible as my devotional reference Bible. My Pastor uses mostly the NKJV which I enjoy.
I enjoy the NKJV, NIV, CSB, and NASB. I do not care for the ESV or NLT but will use them for a comparison reading
The Bible I have on my wish list is the Amplified Bible.
I enjoy your channel very much.

I always call it the N-A-S-B. Definitely cool to see the NRSV make the list and the KJV move back up. I'm loving my readthrough of the KJV so far, I thought I would struggle more. All the top sellers are sold at the local Walmart. Awesome update, can't wait for your book!!
