Interesting that these videos pop up on my feed when I'm procrastinating on reading my Bible. God is so gracious. This is encouraging.Thank you.❤

I use ESV, usually. I've gone through a lot of different versions in my many years of studying and this is my favorite right now. ❤

KJV because it was inspired by the Spirit of God.
Revelation 22:18-19 KJV
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: [19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Had the King James for more than 20 years. For 6 months was reading the ESV. Stopped reading the ESV and I am now trying the NLT.
BUT, I am finding myself missing the King James Version and I gave it away to my daughter. I think I may buy the 1611 Kings James to see how different it is from the others.
Great Video and thanks!

KJV is best. In my eight years of fellowshipping a lot of people get the context of the scriptures wrong because they are not reading the scriptures as it was meant to be read. NIV in ESV do not give you the same messages... That's why there's so much bickering in the churches today when the scriptures go on and say as in 1st Corinthians I beseech you to think and speak in the same sound mind... Which the church can't have a whole sound mind if we're all reading different things...

Grew up reading KJV and now like to read NIV, but I do refer back to KJV for clarification. I love the Holy Bible app because you can select what versions you want to cross reference with specific scriptures.

The answer is... Read all of them ❤
And remember the original language/slang/style used at the specific era.
Imo Jesus used parables to help future generations understand the concept without tripping over specific words.

When I first became a Christian, I was actually using the KJV. Then later I used the NKJV. Then I added the NASB and NIV. Then I added the Amplified Bible and NET. So, I still use all these translations to make sure I don't miss what the scriptures is telling us.

I started out with KJV but switched to the PTL it’s beautiful and the footnotes are wonderful! What does everyone think of the PTL? I adore it

Thought for thought changes the context becauae you're bringing in your own personal interpretation.

I have NLT. I have it marked up. I love it.
Our church has NASB. The language helps me understand the context better. I want to get an nasb

Your happy vibrant & totally got into the word, love your Bible where can I get me one like that? 😊... it looks one of a kind .

I got one that always has footnotes that say the literal translation and explains them, it's great

I like that you suggest to read other translations for ideas on what the writer's thoughts were because that could be helpful especially to a new reader. But some translations need to be scrutinized because some take Christ out of the translation! I've personally always read the KJV and it was hard at first but now any other translation just doesn't sound right, alive, or poetic as the original feels. Thanks for encouraging this new generation through your enthusiasm and love for the word of God.

Read them all. Faster understanding
if you do. The Peshitta is best.
