When you bring your car to Scotty so he can fix it, but instead he makes a video roasting your car for thousands of people to see 😂

I bet somebody's gonna wipe the exhaust similar to Scotty but it'll be hot.

I always look for tucked away stereo wires when car shopping. I figure if your going to half a$$ a wiring job, you probably take the path of least resistance with most things including car maintenance. 🤣😂

I once bought an old Lemans for $750 to use as a winter beater. The guy I bought it from thought he was going to make a classic out of it and bankrupted himself on an expensive set of rims and tires, a sound system and all kinds of chrome goodies under the hood.

I tore all that crap off and sold it all for $1250 then bought all stock parts at a scrapyard to put it back to original which cost me $350 total. Sum total - I got a durable old Lemans, ready for the road for free and enough cash left over to fill it with gas and buy a couple of cassettes.

I ended up getting 7 1/2 years out of the car!

From UK here. Have been watching scotty for a few weeks now. I feel grateful that there's a decent man giving impartial advice to help people keep their wheels going for as long as possible.

Love those little rally cars. To bad, like you said, everyone around is usually diddled with and not stock.

When an owner has driven the car as fast as he could and needs to modify it, to make it go faster, you know just how much wear & tear the engine has experienced.

Ah, the old finger up the tail pipe. If we could only pick good a spouse this way to avoid all the hassles.

Mitsubishi evo: i break

Scotty's Toyota celica: 1, 000, 000, 000 miles later STILL RUNS LIKE A CLOCK

This Mitsubishi is a legendary model and if it was stock and well looked after would have been as good as Toyota or even better.

I purchased my Evo in 2005 and it’s still going strong. If you do the maintenance, modify your car correctly and most importantly get it Tuned by a competent tuner than its an amazing machine. My car makes 700whp and runs strong. This guy doesn’t know anything about Evo’s. I have never heard anyone say that an Evo is a throw away car. Perhaps other Mitsubishi’s. The car in question has been used and abused and needs some TLC and a tune. That’s why it’s running rich. Evo’s run rich from the factory to protect the motor from detonation due to leaning out when someone adding aftermarket parts before Tunning.

Waiting for someone to ask, “Hey, Scotty... is a Mitsubishi EVO/Lancer a good car...?” 😂

My Eclipse was running extremely rich when I got it for cheap. Checked the fuel trims and were at -100 STFT and LTFT. The engine coolant temp sensor reported -40 F when the temp outside was 60 F. Changed the stupid sensor and my car works amazing now

Maybe it’s tuned to run that rich... to cause extremely loud backfires when the exhaust is heated up. That’s my guess... usually people who put aftermarket parts will get a tune that causes a loud gunshot backfire resulting in liquid gas going in the exhaust as scotty showed

Well done Scotty, this is the way I check a vehicle, and Mitsubishi cars always left a smoke screen behind, can only get so much from so little.
