Tyler, I am 72 years old. I have walked into a music store and the salesman took a piece of off the wall and made it sound like a million dollars. Moral, it is not the guitar it is who is holding it.

My classical guitar teacher who taught me for 10 years used a 399€ guitar with light tension strings for teaching. And even though my more expensive guitar with high tension strings was able to produce larger dynamic range, longer sustains and fuller sound, he managed to play his guitar to it's maximum potential with minimal effort and achieve matching performance on the songs I was at my best at and really giving my all while performing.

The guitar sounded pretty decent to start off with (for a $200 guitar). I was hoping you would show us how to change out the nut and saddle for bone or tusq instead of plastic (which is what I am assuming is on it). Maybe you could even show us how to shape the tone with different strings or picks. There are many ways to help a cheap guitar sound better, but this one didn't sound like a $2, 000 guitar to me. Cool idea for a video though.

There's some story about a violinist who was panned for his expensive Stradivarius, saying it's the only reason he sounded great. After a performance and thunderous applause, he smashed the cheap fiddle he had used, then picked up his Strad. Why's no one calling clickbait on this? I came here to learn how to make a guitar sound better, not how to play it better. You can play a $200 and a $2000 guitar the same, and the difference will be obvious, like $1800 obvious. You can't layer when you play it how its supposed to be played, as a solo instrument. You could have talked about strings, intonation, bridge, action, but no "just play it better and layer it when you record" pfft!
