I have a Tanara acoustic SD-18 That my younger brother bought for me in 2012 for my birthday. It means the world to me. 2 years later he killed himself so this is the most expensive guitar to me.

My favorite acoustic guitar under $500 for the longest time was a seagull s6 but damn those are $700 nowadays. These Eastman guitars really are fantastic

Eastman are good. I prefer the Faith Naked series though because top, back and sides are solid woods, no laminates and they cost £400-500.

Eastman guitars are on par with even some branded made in USA acoustics at a much lower price point. I’ve had a little parlour Eastman and it’s fantastic. As a plus it came with a really nice case. I wish they were still kind of a secret.

Last time I played a bunch of guitars when I was out browsing, eastmans were the ones that pleasantly surprised me the most. Outshined the Martins of the same price point.
