Type below command and hit enter key

sudo apt-get update

type user password and hit enter key

you need to wait sometime to complete the installation

Type below command and hit enter key

sudo apt-get install open-vm-tools-desktop -y

you need to wait sometime to complete the installation

Reboot your VM and type below command and hit enter key

sudo reboot
