Jamie corrects Joe right after this short ends that the Dogon claimed they're from Sirius B.

To me, the fascinating part is they have a wall carving from thousands of years ago showing the orbital pattern of Sirius B around Sirius. The problem is, you can't see Sirius B without a telescope, there's no way they got that knowledge from just looking up.

The Dogon Tribe are from the African nation of Mali but you may also find them in Burkina Faso (once known as Upper Volta).
The Dogon are unique in having a language that is not related to any linguistic group in the area.

The place in question regarding the supposed origin of these people is
Sirius B not Mars. Sirius was also known as Bernards's star.
The Dogon's identify and cosmology centers around their connection to this star system. It is not a made up conspiracy tale.
The Dogon believe that their ancestors are space travellers.
If anyone is interested in reading about this subject there is a book called : ' The Sirius Mystery' written by Robert K.G. Temple (published in 1976)

Dude, please. We didn't even know the Easter Island heads were full bodies until like 2010.

What is odd about his behaviour here is that he is subtly dismissive of the tribe before supposedly hearing about them for the first time.

Joe didn’t introduce the dogons accurately. They claimed to have come from the star Sirius as they discovered Sirius A and Sirius B. The cool part about this is that only Sirius A is visible to the naked eye, and at their time, telescopes weren’t invented yet. And they named Sirius B, “Po Tolo” which means “the smallest seed.” So still up to this day, only Lil Wayne comes from Mars.

The Dogon tribe have always been able to accurately represent a part of the sky telescopes couldn’t see, for 100’s of years. They said a planet orbiting (Sirius B?) with an orbit of something like 250years was “the densest planet in the universe”, which was actually proven scientifically accurate when telescopes became powerful enough to find the planet the Dogon had had great knowledge of, as well as that area of the sky we couldn’t see. It’s a thing!

A metal truck sitting in the desert for 1 million years would absolutely not be found.

This man should do some good research before talking to someone about the Dogon’s history, they never said they’re coming from Mars

Correction… the dogons were from ancient kemet ( Egypt ) then much later traveled to Mali. They claimed to have originally came from the Sirius star system ( not mars ) and possessed information that some believe they shouldn’t have known … while some believe the contrary

The dogons mapped star constellations… planets & their Elliptical orbits …the fact Sirius B can’t be seen with the naked eye ( because it’s a dwarf star ) yet they new this information long before it was discovered speaks volume IMO.

all accomplished without a telescopes btw

They also claim they were contacted by extraterrestrial which is interesting to say the least..
I honestly find it plausible …. But You believe what you want with that info …

the more and more I absorb information .. the more I feel like there was a major disconnect that happened YEARS ago .. & I also have feeling Elon knows what he is talking about.

Elon knows exactly who Joe is talking about

Feels good to see people in the comment section come to the defence of the dogon.

Never be dismissive of ancient civilisations,
especially when they have tremendous knowledge about astronomy and star systems.

These people are a true treasure here on earth, and if they claim their ancestors come from somewhere else, I am open to that possibility

No
.. they say they're from Sirius... even canap out the constellation that you need a telescope to see

Elon knew the dogons weren’t from mars … that why he was quick to dismiss it … he knows they were from Sirius & I know he knows their origin because they are one of the few fairly ancient tribes who were literate in Astronomy.

No way a cybertruck will be found a miilion years later in the desert.

A cybertruck wouldn’t even make it to the desert without bursting into flames 😂

Problem with the spaceship question is that if you’re stranded and your spaceship is no longer functional, you’re going to dismantle and repurpose its parts so it would not be there for thousands of years anyway.

They say they came from Sirius B, not Mars.
When your vehicle can survive a wreck without exploding I will respect that opinion

Elon Musk thinks you need a spaceship for interstellar travel. What a meatball
