My Parents went to visit the dogón tribe in Mali Before I was born and it was amazing from what my mother told me about the trip. I have no doubt the dogón knew a lot about things many westerns can’t believe without miser tools ancient civilizations where Amazing in many ways. Why do all of these people, anthropologists, etc., keep talking from the perspective that Indigenous folks are long dead and gone? The Dogon are still here. Stop saying things like in the past tense like 'they believed'. Say 'they believe'. Validate and stop treating them like they have been erased or are no longer visible.
