If I want to get back at someone in canada who wronged me, I now know I can just paint their garage doors purple.
Edit: just so you know. I know that it’s only in one city.

Scare royalty
No crime/violence in comic books
No accepting/challenging someone to a duel
No attaching coins to string (vending machines and such)
No yelling, shouting, singing or whistling in Ontario


There's a whole lot more here in this country. We are kind, kinda weird people.

Edit: Some of these laws are outdated, but they all were true at some given point in Canada's history.

This was a city bylaw in Kanata before the amalgamation with Ottawa where garage doors could only be painted natural colours for aesthetic purposes (hot pink would’ve been illegal in this case too, not just purple), it doesn’t exist anymore now that Kanata’s a part of Ottawa.

Here's a more appropriate one: There is a law in canada that says "sorry" cannot be used against someone in court as an admission of guilt/fault.
