For those who still don‘t know, he said he would say a students pronouns if asked personally, but he completely fights the ideology, which forces speech by law. And rightfully he does so.

He wasn’t dancing around the question he CLEARLY SAID because it is now government compelled I’M NOT DOING IT!

Its astounding how many people refuse to see his point on this still nearly ten years later.

“Let’s just go with it and change how we use pronouns” is lazy and irresponsible coming from a teacher

His argument has ALWAYS been about state compelled speech. Which is far more dangerous than merely calling people pronouns.

So, just out of curiosity why can't teachers just refer to the students by their legal names? Why just not use the pronouns at all? If someone asks, "what do you think my gender is?" Just reply, "your gender is student. Hope you have your assignment." And start teaching.

When TEACHERS say "just go with it", that's when the problem starts.

Whatever they ask...just go with it. Wtf is that, no thanks these kids are spoiled and you're not doing them any favors by accommodating them every time they seek attention. Sometimes the crickets need to chirp, and you don't get your way. Builds character

My response would be: my existence is not predicated on your need to validate Your feelings.

As a writer, I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to mutilate the English language for a confused minority.

"Whatever they ask...just go with it." Is literally the reason we are in the mess we are.

I suppose people have the right to ‘pretend’. But that doesn’t mean I have to pretend with you.

I'm a teacher too, and I have between 100 and 140 students per year. There's no way in hell I would remember what one student wants to be called. Fortunately, I work at a women's junior college. If they don't want to be referred to as she/her/ladies, then they chose the wrong place to study.

Jordan ended up being correct because he said that his issue is with the compelled by law part, that part would lead to individuals being punished by that law. Almost everyone said that would never happen, that it was just to protect people and that no one would actually be punished by that portion, and yet here we are just a few short years later and the Canadian government is on the very cusp of using the very law Jordan warned about to do the very thing Jordan warned about.

If there is an emergency, and instructions are needed, word usage is imperative. "They", conveys group. " HER OR HIM" conveys specificly. I was taught English, proper language skills, not " word salad".
