I change my lancer oil every 8000-10000 miles, driven it from 43k miles to 200k miles not a single issue.

That being said It only cost me $40 to change it so anyone that doesn't do it every 5, 000 got their priorities fucked up. Maybe don't go to the club one weekend and change your oil. Don't be a loser.

It is true if you want your car to last. GDI engines = oil dilution, poorly designed oil control rings, tiny oil passages. Clean oil is best.
