The product actually works! It also frees up those mandated low tension rings prone to stick.

Just rolled 100, 000 miles on my 2014 Honda Accord. Also just filled it with Valvoline Restore&Protect. I believe in this product, and to heck with anyone who badmouths it. Thanks for a great short video.

Hey, I appreciate the video, despite what the comments say. I have seen the engineering and chemistry behind Valvoline’s restore and protect and I look forward to trying it.

Would you recommend valvoline restore and protect or valvoline high milage oil for high milage cars over (140k miles) ?

First off pretty much all motor oils on the market today meet the manufactuares requirments.
2nd. Regular oil changes and there will be no deposites to clean up.
3rd. "Restore & Protect....If the engine is worn I don´t see how it can be restored without a major overhaul. Any oil will protect the engine, that´s it´s purpose...too protect!

I have ~1K on my first R&P use in a Toyota 4cyl with 125K. One thing I noticed immediately is the engine was much more quiet on first start up.

I’m looking forward to a year out from now when we see reviews of R&P after 4 oil changes. Especially with engines that were exhibiting massive oil consumption at the first oil change with this new product. If this product can open up oil control ring land holes with carbon blockages all the oil companies will be rushing to market a similar product.

Nowadays; you can change your oil and filter every 5000 miles, years ago the norm was 3000 miles!! Be sure to get the correct oil and filter!! RULE OF THUMB: KEEP THE STOMACH CLEAN!! REMEMBER TO POP THAT HOOD EVERY SO OFTEN AND CHECK YOUR OIL! FROM BUMPER TO BUMPER, OIL AND FILTER CHANGES ARE JOB ONE!! DRIVE AND ENJOY LIFE!!

Stop taking advice from the guy with the socket wrench on the drain plug. Oil isn't going to regrow your bearings, etc

Why quote marketing material from the manufacturer? Share some first hand experience or oil analysis. Do you even use this oil?

Had bought a gen 1 SuperCrew a couple months ago and will never look back, easily the best purchase I’ve ever made and the best vehicle I have ever owned! Ford FTW

Have you seen firsthand proof that this oil cleans dirty engines like it claims? Curious as I am trying it out in my wife's dirty engine.

Looks loke some moisture in your crank case from that oil cap

Thumbs down for the obvious sponsored video alone. Can’t trust people who say something’s good just because they were paid to say so.

I just watched a guy claiming ge knows all about oil and said Valvoline uses more moly than M1. What a dolt! Exxon uses trinuclear and Valvoline di. So 400ppm moly in di is nowhere near like trinuclear 120ppm. The difference is what's left after a long duration change. And the Valvoline formula will lose efficacy on a linear basis and the Mobil will not. I'll never use Valvoline.

Yeah, like the oil is going to clean the top of your pistons, NOT! Too misleading!

Oil testing analysis on new, unused oil confirmed that Valvoline MaxLife high mileage had more cleaning detergents in it( calcium & magnesium) than Restore & Protect!

Here's what's not a myth: Valvoline is owned by a Saudi Arabian Oil Company(Aramco). Yup, the very country who would revel in the demise of the United States. At least Pennzoil is owned by Shell, which is owned by a British company. At least they don't want to see us(USA) dead and gone.
