It's only been a few weeks of this daily exercise & I am already showing improvement :)

I do this every morning, first thing, while I"m on the deck getting the natural light in my eyes. Then I do a little tai chi with Leia Cohen. This Californian loves Julie's accent :))

I have benefited hugely from this over the last few months. I started out being all over the place, no co-ordination, persevered and now I have good balance. The 5 minutes is the attraction for me. I've never been inside a gym, I much prefer this form of keeping fit. Julia has a lovely soothing voice.

I LOVE this video. I "use" it every day so I don't "lose" it :) Thank you so much Julie.

I have had numerous falls that occurred without notice. I had trained in the martial art of Zen sword for seven years earlier. I had slacked off a bit due to a lack of space. I am at the stage where I need to rebuild myself. Simple exercises like these are efficient and useful. Thank you for the newly opened door.

My age is 75. Yes I will follow it. Thanks. About 4 years back I fell down and my lower Jaws broken into 3 pieces and steel plate was inserted in mouth. After full anesthia for 5 hours I was saved but I lost my balance.

Thanks, Julie for sharing, sometimes the most basic exercises are the most effective and can really make a difference if practiced daily. Loved your gentle manner too!

Breathing during these really helps stay balanced. Blow out forceful and tighten abdomen. CHEERS!

I've been doing these in the kitchen whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, toast to pop up etc and they are really helping me - thank you.

I'll give these a try. So easy to see what you're doing and easy to listen to. Thanks for showing us how to do these. I subscribed.

Excellent video! I'm a proponent of bodyweight exercises and walking. Having a strong core and strong lower body muscles will aid in our ability to keep maintain balance. The more we move our bodies, the healthier we are. Average walking speed studies show that an older person’s pace, along with their age and gender, can predict their life expectancy just as well as the complex battery of other health indicators such as blood pressure, body mass index, chronic conditions, and smoking history.

Thank you for these exercises! You explain so well and make sure to start it quite simply. I appreciate this greatly, as I'll be on my own for my exercise routine soon.

Yeow! I just tried this. I held the one-leg lift for barely 3 seconds (and that was edgy), made 10 attempts, each leg. How pathetic! But I at least made the atttempt. I'll be 79 in August, and what balance I have has deteriorated. This is now a 7 year-old vid as I type this - but thank you, Julie. Oh, and the chapter stamps are most helpful.
