Viserys would have made a good king if he was sorrounded with great council men. Even better if he appointmented Daemon as his Hand even if Daemon doesn't necessarily fit the position, he would've made sure that his brother ruled without letting opportunistic snakes like the Hightowers, scheming behind his brother's back. That I can be sure of

Aemond is definetly not like Jaherys. Jaherys was an aegon like persona. Aemond is quite similar to daemon.

As far as I know, he called the great council so the realm wouldn't go to war immediately after his death, not because he didn't want Raenys to rule. He didn't care who ruled as long as everyone didn't fight over it.

Bro if you read through fire and blood you would know that he did want rhaenys to rule. Rhaenys was his first grandchild and the daughter of his favorite son Amon. Amon got mistakenly killed so baelon was named heir after then baelon died of a burst belly so jaeharys called the great council. In the books there’s like 9 people that have some claim to the throne but ultimately it was between laenor and viserys. Rhaenys and corlys tried to bribe like half of the crowd and viserys still won like 20 to 1

1. Balerion was still alive as Viserys rode him for a short while before his death, so he did not ride the 'biggest dragon' and 2. Jaehaerys wanted Rhaenys to rule as she was his first grandchild and daughter of his favourite son. She was the most 'rightful' ruler but she was a woman and there were also other suitable people that could become the next ruler. so he held the council and in the end it was between Rhaenys and Viserys.

Alysane wanted Daenerys as the OLDEST to rule, to bad The Shivers took her.

Jaehaerys had no issue with a woman being his heir, he and Alysanne’s first daughter (the first Daenerys) was labelled as such at least in Fire & Blood, but she died of that sickness (I think it was called the Shivers) which was a huge issue for them as Targaryens were not supposed to get sick, or be able to, as Jaehaerys had gone to great lengths to ensure his family were viewed as closer to gods than men, to be able to legally excuse their incestuous relations in the eyes of the common folk. He called the great council because he didn’t want war to break out as it had already over the ascension, knowing the patriarchal majority of Westerosi nobility. They voted the crown should pass through the male line- Jaehaerys had no issue with Rhaenys.

Aemond and Daemon both resembles Maegor. If we were to pick character that resembles Jaehaerys it would probably be Corlys or Otto. Maybe Daeron depending on how he turns out. He and Jaehaerys are both 3rd sons who stepped up as leaders of their cause. Maybe also a bit of Rhaenyra when she's trying to not go to war but we know Jaehaerys was consumed by hatred for his uncle.

Jarhaerys I was wise beyond his years. He knew he inherited the throne over his older sister bc of how the realm operated. He knew that his older sister should have been Queen but since he was chosen instead that he had to be great King. He knew the realm wouldn’t accept a women as ruler which is why him and his wife had disagreements and fights about their firstborn daughter not being named his heir and it instead being his younger, first born son, at the time before she died. But That is where King Viserys I truly failed, he chose to turn a blind eye to the war brewing within his family. He knew they hated each other and just hoped that after his death they would do the right thing for his memory.

We don’t know that Aegon the uncrowned wasn’t suited to rule. We just know that Maegor and Balerion didn’t give him the chance

I would have loved Aemond to be king, i know that Jaehaerys was very different but he was a very good ruler

Aemond was not suited to rule, he was prideful and quick to anger. He didn’t think his decisions through fully and lacked the necessary caution to be a dragon rider.

Aemond had commonalities with Jaeherys, but they were vastly different personalities. Jaeherys was a skilled warrior, but he was also wise beyond his years and would seek peaceful solutions to conflict. Hence, his epithet. Aemond was hot-tempered and unforgiving.

I have a different view of Aemon after watching the show.

He held the great council because he didnt want his own whims to get in the way of law. Aemond is nothing like jaeharys apart from circumstance. He is ruthless and cruel. Dude burned down the entirety of the riverlands because he was mad he was fooled

Nah, he called the Council so no war would happen. This video is dripping with Bias and untrue statements.

Daemon and Viserys' followers were 100% willing to go to war if Jaehaerys chose Rhaenys.

Jaehaerys didn't have such a long reign just from pure strength. He was called the Conciliator for a reason. Not to mention, the only Daughter's death who was his fault, it was Daella. Saera deserved everything that came for her in terms of punishment, and Viserra died due to Alysanne marrying her off to some random old dude. Gaelle wasn't their fault either, she was a tragic death neither could've foreseen. And Alyssa died due to Childbirth.

Jaehaerys let the Realm choose, Viserys didn't. And Jaehaerys left behind a peaceful realm, Viserys left a Civil War of annihilation behind.

I don't know because Jaherys has both of his eyes. I think if Aemond become king, he would kinda be revenge driven

Viserys if he was smart would've called a great council and established clear succession laws based on the results and if he didn't he should've disinherited Rhaenyra once Jacerys popped out

Wasn't Vhagar still bigger then Vermithor? And wasn't Balerion was still alive when Jaeharys ascended the Iron Throne?
