There was a study released by (Un. California at Davis, I blv) years ago...doing a deep-dive into the "EVOO's" on the market shelves. Going from memory, the majority that said "EVOO"...were not. Many had a blend of other oils. Some used older olives, etc, etc. I noticed on his bottle it says: "GLOBAL BLEND". Then you can see, several countries: it looks like that bottle is a conglomeration of oils from many countries of Argentina, Chile, Portugal, and from CA. To me...what are the odds that you're getting (the high density of polyphenols in those oils)? I don't think likely; all-the-more, when they're shipped thousands of miles, w/o a controlled environment, and that those olives were all harvested under strict (cold-pressed standards). Honestly, I think this is something where it might be worth the money to find to (super high-quality, local-to-US) EVOO...where you know they've cold-pressed the olives (maximizing the key nutrients), and with the US Regs, then quickly bottled in darkened glass.

This is a broad subject...that goes very, very deep! (My undergrad was in Food Science)...and none of these things were taught to us! This (EVOO) issue is but one example. The big corporate farms/lobby groups, etc...fight and fight against the (best labeling for ppl). It's crazy. But don't stop there. Look at the soil: even if a product is "organic"...how many producers (care enough) to allow their fields to fallow for some time...to allow natural nutrients to rebuild? Not nearly enough producers! Then, how many producers use fertilizers, et al? How many refuse to plant GMO seeds? Again, not enough! How heavily is the product further processed, (harshly, often) to SQUEEZE OUT the last bit of (whatever they're selling)? Often subjecting the grains, (or foodstuff) to hexane or other harsh chemicals/acids/artificial enzymatic processes? It goes on and on! No wonder ppl in the west are struggling with health. Like all of us...producers too, should 'LOVE ONE ANOTHER" (THE GOLDEN RULE)...then we'd not be in these positions of (not knowing what is in this "food"). All the best.

1. there is no country where people “drink” Olive Oil. The diet that’s most often cited in the context of Olive Oil is the mediterranean diet in which Olive Oil plays a central part, however, that diet doesn’t involve “drinking” it. It’s used on salads, as dip for bread and probably a lot more but they don’t drink it. And it may be the other parts of their diet or the specific combination of major components of their diet (salads, fish, etc) that results in better health outcomes.
A Mediterranean Diet is not about drinking Olive Oil.
Even then, can the esteemed Dr. share any reasearch showing drinking Olive Oli results in better health outcomes.
Keep in mind though, suggesting replacing a processed salad dressing or other unhealthy fat in cooking with Olive Oil is different to drinking it.

2. Is there research showing drinking Olive Oli
a) reduces Inflammation
b) lowers LDL
c) helps clear clogged arteries
If so, pls do share because i have looked for it only and am unable to locate it.

From all that i’ve read and seen videos of, I believe (i’m not a professional in the medical or medical-scientific fields and these are incredibly complex, so I can only believe) that drinking a few table spoons of Olive Oil daily, generally does not have much down side but we shouldn’t consider it a magic fix.

Thank you Dr.Mandell for sharing your thoughts on oils . I’m using purest olive oil that’s out there. I’m baking fresh garlic bread just so I can enjoy the flavor of oil and homemade bread.❤

I put it in a salad along with apple Cider vinegar & lemon or lime, or in the morning mix it with others mentioned in a morning drink

I noticed that in olive oil doesn't make any weight gain if it's used raw, not cooked.
