Hi Warren, stumbled onto your channel. As I'm 66, this interested me. I'm a 4.3 index been playing from the age of 33. Bad habits always return, especially after injury. I'm fine now, looking to improve strike into my 70's. Your drill reminded me of my nephew struggling to hit the ball, i showed him a half swing, it went like a bullet with no effort. Just like your video here. I obviously released it properly, but generally, I don't. I know I'm moving too much, I get tired on bad days. Your video makes so much sense, especially now in my golfing life. I suspect too many over 50 still try to move like the pros, which is generally impossible. Thanks for showing me the way. Subscribed 👍

Refreshing to hear instruction about a roll release, see all the pro's do it, but so many teachers want to take the hands out, why? any tool i use in life i use my hands! Great video Warren, cheers for posting, Glenn 👍👍

Love your approach where the different aspects are broken down into drills to work on, fantastic. Thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks for this plain and simple instruction. Most teaching on Youtube is often confusing on the release. Thanks Alan

Wish I’d been taught this way years ago, instead of having to start from basics now, impressed that this may be the answer to all my swing problems. Thanks Warren.

Great content! Thanks for this! My game improved significantly when I stripped off much of the complications of the swing - particularly, thinking of body positions. What works for me is this more "handsy" type of swing - allowing the clubhead mass to move/whip. It took a lot of trial and error (and detours) before I finally accepted that my torso and legs' role is to accommodate the physics of the swing. The irony of it all is that my overall body sequence improved when I became a more hands-first type of golfer. No more hanging back, rotation occurs naturally, tilts found their own way. More importantly, less bodyaches next day. I'm sure the more body-oriented modern swing is great for some. But my body isn't so modern anymore. Haha!

After coming back from a three year layoff due to injury, I'll definitely be applying your methods at the range very soon. I'm 42, but have lost some flexibility and speed. Can't wait to get on with it and see how it feels. Always been a proponent of a hands release. They can move so much faster than the body and it's a touch easier on the back as well

Thanks again Warren. I still find the ‘drop’ so hard. Not enough time! Although the ball is waiting down there patiently 😅 I’m just in a hurry to get back there and hit from the top. I really like your tray drill so I’ll incorporate that together with this. Cheers from Adelaide

Warren another excellent demonstration of what the arms/hands do, my question is can I or should I be demonstrating the same technique with fairway woods & driver? Thank you 🙏 🏌️‍♂️

Really good tip about the back of glove in the release. Flipping is one of my sins. My other problem is keeping my right shoulder from going to far back and head going up with it . Any idea how to remedy that ?
