I've liked this guy I'm just friends with for over 7 years now and it's kinda complicated but he gives a lot of mixed signals which is frustrating cause I can never tell if/when he's feeling more "I like you" or "we're just friends"

If I'm truly attracted, I will make a move given a chance. First I look to see if he is with a girl (don't want to make anyone mad). Then i walk towards or up to him and if he gives an unhappy look at me, i back off, otherwise I introduce myself. I focus on approaching with respect.

If it's someone I already know, i'll ask him out. I'm not afraid of rejection and I like taking risks.

Basically if i'm initiating, i'm interested.

Nice, I like how you talk about the actual tangible behavioral aspects instead of "his eyes will dilate", "he will start pulling up his socks" which are valid but I find them to be very situational and inconsistent. For instance, my crush is a shy guy and I think he might like me too (not sure), but I doubt he'll start pulling up his socks if he sees me while he's out smoking with his friends. Things like leaving room for a response from the girl is a tangible behavior and a good sign to look out for because chances are it's something that will keep recurring in conversing with a crush to show his interest in me (my crush has also once lingered in the office-kitchen to just to say hi - i thought he was just being polite, but then he hesitated as if looking for something, and then his eyes fell on some random food that was out on the counter and he started asking questions about why these were here and where they were from, LOL - it was endearing). Thanks Andrew, this was nice :" ) You've given me a line of thought to go off of.

so, i know this guy since we started university (almost 4 years ago) but we got really close this year cause we shared a lot of classes and we sat together almost everyday, and it is great because we are comfortable with each others company, we talk about anything and laugh a lot. But, the thing is, months ago i started feeling something. For a while i convinced myself it was nothing and i was fine (because i never actually like anyone) but this term i kind of think he feels the same way, i'm like a 70% sure. we manage to spend time together everyday, he always teases me and tries to makes me laugh, he touches me and i have notice sometimes he can't look at me right in the eyes. but I DONT KNOW. our classes will end in one month and he'll travel with his friends to usa for the next three months, so that means he will see again this girl he met one year ago (before we got closer) and he liked her a lot, like he hasn't mencioned her in months and has told me nothing happens but...
anyways, if someone is reading this sorry for my bad english
