Absolutely spot on! I have been looking for a light-hearted, self-paced way towards German learning. Nice to see some of the channels I like involved in this project.

These videos look insane! I’ve just started learning a bit of German, so I’ll definitely check those out very soon!

Lol, I used to watch this channel to keep my English fresh.
Then I had to move to Germany and I learned things about the country here. (Huge thanks for advertising mettwurst and bread)
Now, I would not be surprised if I will be learning German here.

On the one hand, I’m data driven and I will need to see some examples of the students in a few months to check if they really learned with this method. On the other hand, I applaud this initiative and wish you the best success ever.

I just enrolled into the A1 course! I have been learning with apps for a while, but none of them really helped me or motivated me. I am excited about this! Vielen dank!

I miss shooting with you. The B1 course is by far the best one we made (yet).

There is no quick and easy way. Took me 2 years of hard work, and I was born in Germany to German parents.

You are very right in saying that it helps when it's fun. When I took German years ago, one of the teachers wanted us to learn "Wie heißen sie?" and to respond "Ich heiße" then the name by using a ball that we threw to a random classmate. I wish she had stayed (materinity leave) because that's all I really know how to say...and the numbers. o.o

I can pronounce German better than I can pronounce French but it was the grammar that got to me. On the other hand the spelling and pronunciation rules are consistent. Any sounds in the German language not in the English language can be found in the Welsh language or English spoken with a strong Welsh accent. I've lived in both Wales and England and had to learn a little Welsh even if it's just spelling and pronouncing Welsh place names.

In English there are no spelling and pronunciation rules. Each word needs to be learned individually as two words pronounced the same can be spelt differently and have different meanings. Such as bow and bough. Or they can be spelt the same and pronounced different and have different meanings such as bow and bow. Ruff and rough are also pronounced the same way but with different meanings and pronunciations.

I learned German by watching speeches from an Austrian painter during ww2

My favourite exercise is matching the words using a mouse but on the website it only showed an example video of matching different countries. I'm looking for this exercise where I can just match different words together using my mouse only but with a lot more complicated words and not just different countries because country names are too easy.
