Mary is Essential to Christian Worship (biblical reasons)

The Catechism of the Catholic Church claims that devotion to Mary
is essential to Christian worship. Tim Staples gives the two main reasons (with biblical evidence) why the Church makes this claim.

Lumen Gentium 52-69:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭KJV‬

I'm sorry what I can't wrap my head around is praying to a creation. A blessed creation, A graceful creation, a creation that has the greatest grace among all women, but still, a creation. Is it even heard that anyone has done this before Jesus' time? or even after? We are called fools because we hold the crucified messiah as our strength and salvation; fools b/c we worship a 'man'. But we do so cuz we know for sure that he was God. Where in whole scripture and hearts of men do we find people PRAYING to someone other than God himself ? And how can we take this lightly? Praying to her, singing hymns to her I mean. And how can we boldly claim that we only worship God?

Mary can be honored without being the central role in worship.

I love mother Mary.. She really helps me to connect with Jesus and since I pray Rosary daily, my relationship with Jesus is like never before, so close so intimate, it's beyond words. Thank you my heavenly Mother🙏💕🌹

Did Jesus say to make a statue of Mary to bow down and worship her?!...NO..NO...NO..!

From a purely psychological viewpoint we need the feminine as well as the masculine.

Peace be with you!. It does work.. I started daily Rosary again in 2023, and plan to keep going. Really helped me prior years..with promotions, closed big financial deals, investments.. etc I know its earthly things, I dedicated the devotion to Mary Mother of God that helped me 🙂.. It works .. Hail Mary full of Grace.. Obviously I don't own anything, I am just a steward.. God Bless!

The saints say that Mary is the most perfect and best way to Jesus

Mary and worship raises a huge red flag, when used in the same sentence....One may even say it's idolatry. It would be more appropriate to say Mary is to be remembered and respected for the role she had.

I have Behold Your Mother twice and this video helped some things in there. There is so much for me to absorb that is unfamiliar it is sometimes hard to soak it in. On of them is when blessed Mary said "according to your Word." The video seems more clear. The Word gifted her the immaculate conception so that is literal when she said this. So much about her seems to be like hidden gems.

I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 17:4-5

Luke 1:46-48
[46]And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord.
[47]And my spirit leaps for joy in God my Saviour.
[48]For he has looked with favor on the humility of his handmaid. For behold, from this time, all generations shall call me blessed.

I use to preach against the Holy Mother Mary, but Jesus came to me in a dream, his body was human but His face was pure light like a thousand suns shining from His Face, and reminded me of John 19:26and 27.

Jesus, when given the chance, did not honor Mary. Luke 11:27 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” 28 He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”. Reread Wedding of Cana in John 2, nobody spoke to Mary, she saw the need, mentioned it to Jesus, then told others to talk directly to Jesus and do what he says. So follow her example, talk directly to Jesus and do what he says.

I love the rosary. Wish I had time to pray all four mysteries every day.

With respect; no. What you're saying is outside of context and a human concept of Rome.
NR1: "Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. - Ephesians 6:2-3. (also of course Exodus 20:12) This is not speaking of a spiritual mother and father but your earthly mother and father. So, no, the video is wrong on the applying of this verse to Jesus His mother. Also, Mary is not our mother; Jesus said; "But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." This verse is used wrongly in this video, it shows the opposite of what this video is saying. We are bound by the 10 commandments to honor our earthly father and mother, not Mary.

NR2: God's plan of salvation is through His SON ALONE. He is the ONLY mediator for humans, there is no other beside Him. So, no, there is no role for Mary in the salvation but being the vessel through whom the salvation shall come into the world. Lumen Gentium is not the word of God so the text has zero authority. It’s a misunderstanding of truth. It’s not through Mary’s intercession that Jesus Christ begins His ministry, it’s all through the will of God the Father. She is simply obedient to God by saying what she said to Jesus Christ. All the things that came forth from this was because of God the Father, not though an intercession of Mary. That would mean that Mary is the mediator between God and Jesus Christ and that’s just a horrible idea. The prophecy of Simeon is speaking of Jesus His death being a sword which will pierce Mary’s soul (because she will witness her SON being tortured and killed). Now comes the big scripture twist you did here; it’s not that “the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed” because of the piercing of Mary’s soul, that’s twisting the scripture in the most literal form. But the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed because of Jesus Christ Who is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against. The verse end with a full stop. Then aside from that; AND a sword will pierce your own soul too. Don’t twist God’s words to fit your narrative.

The only scripture about Mary that seems to support your claim is Revelation. But, if these verses contradict the rest of the Bible, you may want to rethink your understanding of these verses. I’m going to interpret scripture with scripture regarding Revelation 12.

God nowhere says we need a relationship with Mary for our salvation, only with Him, through the Holy Spirit, made possible by Jesus Christ. When you say something with conviction, it does not make it true my guy ;)
May God our Father bless you and your family and friends. Amen!

Now since Stephen is in heaven because he is being greeted by the risen christ standing there as Stephen is receiving the crown of glory as a first fruit as the apostle Paul mentions so now Stephen in a twinkling of a eye in glory with christ as he is ALIVE can hear our prayers . Read through all the letters and you see how the catholic and orthodox are biblical teachings

One of those commitments, it says You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ am I missing something why does the Catholic Church have all these images? Yes, we acknowledge Mary but why is there a statue of her?
