I live near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. We get some epic flooding here every few years. And at times some truly devastating flooding. But nothing on this scale, where this kind of flooding just doesn't happen. My heart goes out to all those families who have lost their homes, their businesses, their animals, their entire way of life. This is gut wrenching to see. 😢

The national Guard needs to be mobilized with engineers to help clear the roads and build bridges to rescue people and get relief supplies in to where it's needed. My hubby was in a transportation unit for over 20 years, served in Desert Storm and yes the Guard can help. The state Governors just need to activate them I believe if not the President.
