Given the terrible news of the massive CM layoffs, my heart gets so happy to see DFB highlighting CM opinions. CM don’t get near the recognition deserved and my heart goes out to all who lost their dream job. Please consider donating to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida to help relieve hunger as many of the CM are surviving off food stamps at this time.

I'm a CM at Animal Kingdom. My favorite place to eat is the Nomad Lounge. Their super-comfy outdoor patio overlooks the river dividing Africa and Pandora. And the food is tapas style, meaning everything is appetizer portion. Me and my friends enjoy relaxing there, ordering a bunch of different things, sharing them all, and washing them down with some adult beverages. This patio offers a 4-star atmosphere without the 4-star price tag!

But when I'm on the job, I'll make a run to Flame Tree BBQ! They never disappoint.

To be honest, CM’s eat at home . As a former CM, we couldn’t afford to eat at Disney, that’s the real truth . I brought my lunch to work at WDW every day . Sometimes Disney would provide backstage parties with free goodies, but honestly, the food is too expensive there . The CM co workers I worked with, most of us brought our own food from home ! Once in a while when I had visiting friends, we’d splurge and eat out somewhere on property, but not often .

As a CM I 100% agree. Ale and Compass at the Yacht Club is also one of my favorites and you can almost always find a reservation!

If anyone stops by Trek Snacks today or is in Asia at DAK and sees a cast member named Michael, wish him a Happy Birthday!

as a former cast member my favorite snacks were: the poutine at the canada pavilion and at disney springs and the fried rice at the Yak and Yeti quick service place. They're both snacks but were able to fill me up between an early lunch and lated dinner. Perfect for when you're hungry but don't want a disney portion meal. my favorite meal was always at pecos bill, I went there about five times on my program and they never disappointed. Also since i am biased, Mama Melrose was fantastic! I worked there during my program and tried a lot of the different menu items, they were all amazing!

I love this! Learned about a few snacks I didn’t even know about. I’d totally get the jalapeño pretzel & those chicken dumplings. And I didn’t know Skipper Canteen had a secret menu! This is all just great!

Former CM here. I would definitely recommend Olivia's Cafe, Yak and Yeti, and especially Trail's End. I try to visit Trail's End for their breakfast buffet every time I visit Disney World.

Skipper Canteen was wonderful and very different than most Disney Menzies. Well worth the rices.

So, I was a Cast Member last year. My favorite snacks were the cream cheese stuffed pretzels, carrot coke cookie sandwich from Trolley Car Café (DHS), ronto wraps from galaxy's edge (DHS), and beignets from Port Orleans were always good. Also, the Peanut Butter Brownie from Comtepo Cafe at Contemporary Resort is always a must! Ironically, AJ is the one that told me all about this great treats and thanked god I listened!

Trail's End has been a pleasant surprise for me. My SO set up a reservation for dinner one trip. I wasn't too excited but her point that this would be "comfort food" and a break from all the other things we were experiencing (Skipper's Canteen is awesome) was well accepted. When we went to eat - it delivered; a Southern US style (more or less) comfort food buffet. What I didn't expect was that it ended up being really good. Much better than "comfort food" and "buffet" had me prepared to accept. Well worth checking out if southern style comfort food appeals to you.

I agree with GF Cafe. I would add the Wave, Sanaa, and Boma (although Boma is not open right now). There are great cast members at all the food places in the Riviera Resort. And bartenders at the Wave are fantastic. A couple of them (Mike and Bo) have been there a really long time and make the best drinks. They will customize to make sure you get what you want and are happy with it.
