I believe, Pooh showed up to court in costume, because "Cast Members" are not allowed to reveal their human identity or their character outside of the dressing rooms. If I'm remembering correctly, they aren't allowed to tell their family if they are a particular character. Disney says that it ruins the illusion of the character. I agree.
