My Go to Knipex Pliers Wrench 7” 86 03 180

I am showing off my favorite adjustable wrench the Knipex Pliers Wrench 7” 8603180 . This pliers wrench has replaced 3 different adjustable wrenches in my service bag. I use this very often unless I have the exact size wrench on me. I find myself far away from my truck/ toolbox working. I try to not carry to many tools not fun luging around a heavy tool bag climbing ladders and walking far distances. This pliers wrench jaw opens up to 1-3/8. I
have the 10” version yet this one is more practical for what I need on a daily basis.

Thanks for helping me decide on the size for my first Knipex tool. This is the one!

Thanks for the video! I just ordered the 7" pair today and wondered if they would be too small. Your video confirms I picked a good all around size. 👍

I bought the same wrench through my Snap On guy. I absolutely love the smooth jaw. I've been abusing them for a couple of years now and they still look new. The jaw has almost no wear on it. I ended up buying a few other Knipex adjustables and all have exceeded my expectations. The Germans really know how to make quality hand tools. They are worth every dollar. 🍻my friend.

Not bad pronunciation!! I have the 180mm too. I pack it into my motorcycle tool roll, and have used it to loosen the 24mm nuts torqued to 100Nm so I can remove both the front and rear wheels to repair punctures. I slip a ring spanner over the end of the knipex handle and get heaps of leverage

Thank you, I was debating which size to get. It looks like the seven inch is the right one

I have one of those. Also the sizes up and one down from it. They are a little bulky, although they just came out with a newer streamlined model. There are times when using 2 crecent wrenches, squeezing them together to break loose or tighten a fitting in a space two hands won't fit that the pliers don't work.

I love about every Knipex tool I own! Good video!

It definitely beats traditional adjustable wrenches. But sometimes a combination wrench with an offset box end is still needed for confined spots.
Although The 7" Knipex has a big jaw, but for applications that need maximum tightening such as those that involve moving parts, the torque is enough for nut sizes less than 17mm only. In that case, a 10" Knipex or a longer 17mm combination wrench is recommended.

Id like to get a couple of them for my tool bag. But something later that a small impact driver with a socket would work best.

I feel like if I need to turn a nut larger then what the 7” can handle I need a dedicated wrench.
