I have been googling all over the Internet to find this. Thank you

Normally I just paint over my nail and just pretend it's not there but now I just lightly file the top of my nails and it's gone

Thanks so much

Thanks for the information. I was able to buff it off then I applied Tea Tree oil.

If it is ONLY under the nail polish, it's just the top layer of the nail peeling off because it bonds to the nail polish and can peel off.

Usually, just leaving your nails be for a couple days (nail polish free) clears it up. The white patches will be worse if your nail is buffed prior to nail polish application.

For me, hydration works wonders. Pop some cuticle oil, olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil etc on there and you'll be golden!

I have used coconut oil and leave nail polish off for a while, and this works.

Hello Doc! 😊
I was soaking in Epsom Salt and was noticing a Black-line going across my Toe nail bed. I simply touched it and nail polish came off and my nail was White..after being outta the bath it was White streaks going across the nail. I am sure the Toe nail is White because the polish was on too long..I'm not sure about the Black line across the Luna on the Toe nail ..thin line?
Is it damaged ?
Idk!
Or Viramin / Mineral / Medication/ Disease.
My Feet are affected by a pinch Spinal Cord and Nerves. (Laminectomy)
What specialist should I see for this?
Any thoughts 💭 on this? ☺
Thank you,
Renée

I notice white spots only when I wear nail polish. I leave it off for a while and nails go back to normal, but do it again when I use polish.

Yeah mine were super white when I removed polish with acetone. I'm applying vitamin E oil at night and sleeping with socks on for 3-4 nights and then they're fine.

It's a fungus. Apply white vinegar or soak toes in vinegar daily til fungus goes away.

I just found a really bright white spot on my toe nail, is it going to spread to the other nails? What can I do, should I cover it with something until I get a treatment?

Eww... I get this after I wear gel polish on my toes. It used to take all summer for it to get bad but I would take a break in the winter and my toes with grow out some and the white would go away.
Now when I put on my french gel it seems to appear weeks after and at first I thought it was the gel lifting off but it seems my nail flakes too so it gets really thin. French doesn't look good with that so I'm disappointed. I thought it was just drying out nails but I will try some kind of anti fungal polish on the base and see if that helps...😢
