Choosing to make your toe nail longer is wild to me. I like long nails but I always trim my toe nails

I believe that you're not supposed to put extensions on your toe nails, because (as someone already wrote in the comments) your toe nails can come off your nail bed because of shoes that cause pressure on them. It's not recommended to put big amount of gel/base or other materials on your nails as it causes pressure and may lead to ingrown nails which cause a lot of pain.

I can't bear to have my toe nails long at all . If they touch the inside of my shoe, it just makes my skin crawl

Licensed nail tech here! They look beautiful but please be careful when wearing extensions on your toes as it can cause the natural nail to come away from the nail bed due to trauma from wearing closed-toe shoes! I do this sometimes but only in the summer when I know I’ll mostly be wearing sandals 🫶🏼

You could just polish the toenails and use regular nail glue to adhere them. It’s basically the same thing as wearing press ons. I've been doing my own toenails this way since I was 14 and I'm 33.
They literally last me a month at a time and if they pop off before then I just do a fresh set. No need to cure the gel on your toes and you can get some fabulous designs without having to be crouched over for 45-50 minutes!

I started doing my own toes years ago and about two years ago I started gel x toes and I fell I love! This all I do now with breaks in between@!!

I used to do my toes similar to this. What helped me the most was painting the extensions before applying them (I would let them dry over night just to make sure they don't smudge)

honestly, I think its best to apply builder gels instead of extensions/tips. Its safer and if you really want to grow out your toenails its helps with strengthening the nails.

I worked in a fancy retail situation for years and had very cute heels that had a slight open toe and would do my own fake toenails. It's a game changer. I have large finger nail beds, not so much on the toes. It just makes everything look more better.

pt: if you have full coverage nail tips that have big sizes, they can be used as dual forms for your toes. 4 out of my 5 different tip sets their number 1 and 2 fit both of my big toes and at least two of the pinky sizes cover all the rest of my toes.
as she said, it's best to perfect the shape, so spend time on that. imo, square or coffin are the best for fit and structure because they have a great shape at the middle where you'd cut your toe length as.

ABSOLUTELY! I wear Press on Toenails so minus the painting! // I read some of the other comments, I get not having longer toe nails because of them possibly touching at the top of your shoe. But for me if my toenail is cut down too low and is now rounded. That drives me nuts. I need a clean, square, straight line across, it looks so much better, I hope that made sense lol

Just be careful. Water can cause bacteria growth under nails & toe nail extensions... you have very nice toe nails already.

As a nail tech I love gel x toe nails but prefer acrylic. ❤❤
