What would be the best way to save data from QB Desktop without transferring it to QBO. I only require access to the historical data going forward but do not need it brought into QBO at all. What options should I consider to save this and be able to utilize it in the future. (example do I still require network access) ?

Hi, we bought QB online this year thinking our bookkeeper who runs the Desktop version could easily keep our online version updated weekly with her transactions. We get the notice about the 60 day migration rule. We already set up the onine version, but can't seem to update weekly to keep our online account in sync with ther desktop version. Is that not a thing? I specifically asked the onine salesman when we bought. Thank you!

I currently run QBDT 2020 and QB POS 19 both on an in-house server. Is there a Quick Books Training video on the migration from this combination to QBOnline? Also is there a Quick Books Training Video on how the credit card terminal is going to interface to QBOnline?

Wondered if you could tell me if transferring a company to QBO in the middle of the year is discouraged? I'm concerned about the payroll reports (941's) - quarterly info / sales tax reports data etc. We have to make a decision to update by May 31 2024 to Desktop 2024 or QBO. I just have been so worried about all of that mid-year info not being transferred over properly

When I click "Control BQ OK" I get this error message "For security, Intuit does not support this browser or browser version." I click on the links provided, and I have updated to most recent versions of FireFox and Chrome, and I still get the same error message. No matter what I do I get this error message. What can I do to get my desktop info into QB online?

1)  My company has 2 arms (both a C3 and a C4) for which we currently have 2 QB Desktop files that we want to convert to QBO.  However, we use one company email address for both companies.  In other words, we don't have separate email addresses for each company as they all fall under one parent heading. Will we be able to convert the two files using the one email address?  I ask because I am trying to think through how QB will know which company to convert if we do that. Or do we need to create/setup separate email addresses for each company?

2) Is there a way to convert some but not all of the data from QB Desktop to QBO?  We only want to go back to a certain year vs the inception of the QB Desktop file - is there some way to initiate that during the conversion?

3) We all have a lot of vendors and customers set up years ago in the QB Desktop file that are not used currently and we would prefer not to carry over to QBO.  Is there a way to do that?  If we inactivate those vendors will they not convert over?

4) Lastly, do you have any videos on how to set up QBO if we purchased the software from Techsoup?

The Admin credentials on our Desktop are unknown, we updated Online admin credentials by submitting company docs to get the Admin changed. How do we change/update the Desktop to match Online?? When in the Company tab to export company info - a message is received that I am not the admin.

How do I move my information from desktop to online successfully even when my multicurrency has been turned on?

Good information, but the challenges with manual transfer is entering inventory balances, and the a/r, a/p, and the P&L accs since we also need to show the balance of each customer and vendor, and the quantity of each item.
