Yeah, wifi is a battery eater on _every_ device. Highly recommendable to turn it off, if not in use (take in note, that in Hero 3 you can leave wifi on even if the camera is off = eating battery also).

you can now immediately share photos you make with your gopro, through the app on your mobile. i think there are more updates, i dont know more

I have heard a lot of problems with the update for the black version. I want to purchase the black and use the app with my iPhone. I'm going to wait until the camera is up to date when I purchase it and don't have to update a brand new camera. I hope they will be up to date by March.

After the update, can I change the memory card? Will the update still be there? After I change memory card, do I need to transfer those update files to the new card? Thank you very much. Just got my first gopro hero3+ blk. Very excited.

Is there a possibility that u are filming in protune mode and only have a class 4 memory card? I had the same problem before i started to use a class 10 memorycard :)

How long should the update take?  At the moment i am 1 hour in....  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
