Fujifilm xe3 2 Year Review - Perfect Camera in 2025?

I've had the pleasure of using a fujifilm xe3 for the past 2 years. From December of 2021 to September of 2023 it has served me well and has helped me capture some of my favourite images. Here are my final thoughts on the camera after 2 years of use. The main lenses I used with the camera are the Fujifilm 23mm f2, 7Artisans 55mm f1.4 and the vintage Nikon 105mm f2.5. It is still a great, lightweight camera for street shooting however at the current prices I'd go with either an xt3, Canon 6d mark ii or even look into the Ricoh gr or x100 line of cameras.

Overview: The Fujifilm xe3 is a great street camera if you can find it at a decent price I'd pick it up asap. If you're deciding between the xt3 and don't care much for video this would be a great camera to start shooting street photography in 2023 and beyond.

I have this camera and it's really a great camera .it's small and light, it takes really beautiful pictures and it offer a lot of customization, I really enjoy taking pictures with that camera. I brought it almost 4 years ago and it still works perfectly fine zero issues, no reason for me to change it with a "newer" model.

I bought my XE3 2 years ago too and I absolutely love it - it's gotten to the point where this camera now feels like a natural extension of me and it never gets in the way of the photo making process. On top of all that it's a gorgeous lens! Mine is getting so much use that it's starting to get some scratches and bumps :)

I have an X-E3, mine was bought new two years ago, when I finally sold my beloved X-Pro1.
The camera is fantastic for my needs, smaller lighter, with a touch screen and joystick, still has the MCS switch on the front for focus mode selection rather than the finnicky menu selection only found on its successor the X-E4.
I'm not sure why 400 shots isn't enough from a single charge, this isn't a pro use camera, yet it beats my X-Pro1 hands down for battery life.
I have an X-T10, so between the two I have four OEM batteries and two 3rd party batteries making 4K video limitations just a battery change away.
The camera has notably cooler colours than the Older beautiful XTrans 1 sensor, but the dynamic range and low light noise improvement over the xTrans 1 are notable.
I love shooting my X-E3, I very rarely use the LCD back screen for composition as I prefer to use the EVF.
Fuji film simulations is what I like most about Fujifilm, there are better cameras out there, but for the money and their superb prime lenses Fujifilm are pretty hard to beat.

I love my X-E2s. I cannot see much reason to “upgrade”

I has the x e2, it was broken. Just today I bought the x e3!

Traded up from my trusty X-E1 to this X-E3 to get more pixels and also Arcos film simulation. Love the camera; have zero plans to ever shoot video with this camera. Existing Fujinon lens is a 18mm/f2.0. I also use my old, manual focus Pentax 50mm/1.7 via an adapter. Will add a Fujinon 35mm/f1.4 in the near future. (My other Fuji camera is a X100T which I also love.)

you can easily get one for less than $750 now, worth it as a street camera to compliment my new T5

Dont forget, X-E3 or all other X-Trans III Colors (T-T2, X-T20, X-Pro2) are not the "real" FUJI-Colors. You get it natural more in X-Trans I or II. In X-Trans IV you can edit it. But in I-Trans III, i dont know what FUJI thought. The Colours are more cold like Leica or Standart Sony. But thats not Fuji. And that my personal problem off the X-E3, instead is a good camera.
