Now that is what you call a car, you can tell it's a Jaguar from any distance, nothing else looks like it. This is a bit of class and I'm so glad you saved it. Even if it ends up at five or six grand it's an awful lot of car for the money and I can't wait to see it finished. Well done Matt, you definitely made the right decision.

Hi Matt. Mine is a Sept 2001 4.0 Sovereign in Emerald Green Metallic. Depending on the light, sometimes it looks like British Racing Green; sometimes it looks like Sapphire Blue. It's in great condition with only 74, 000 miles on the clock and I absolutely ADORE it. So much so that when I see someone like you so enthusiastic and excited over these wonderful cars I well up with pride. There really is nothing like them. If they've been looked after from new, they're not expensive to maintain. There are loads of ebayers who supply second-hand, reconditioned and aftermarket parts.

Yours is the best YT channel there is about cars. Keep up the fabulous work.

My headliner collapsed, I got replacement from Myrtle Ltd. They do a folding headliner replacement. £166.67 +delivery + vat..

As a kid in the 90s a local businessman had a Daimler, then an XJ. Very rare in the Netherlands and I absolutely loved it. I've wanted one ever since, but I'm now old enough to know that even if I can afford to own and run it well, I'd rather go on holiday a few more times a year. I'm boring is what I've embraced.

Man I bought one of these when I was 23 back in the early 2000's. Was only 5 years old when I bought it. Man I loved it... Not so much the 18 mpg. Also enjoyed the looks of hate I got from guys twice my age who saw me driving it.. or fuelling it up... Regularly!

Can not wait to see this finished. I'm like you, I couldn't bring myself to scrap that, I'd hate myself forever. The satisfaction of bringing it back and giving it a new lease of life is worth it even if you take a bit of a loss on it. Most people might think you're mad but I'm 100% on your wavelengh with stuff like this.
