Fun facts: Monsters Inc 2 was originally going to be about them trying to reunite with Boo only for them to find out she had grown old. Before this unused script was revealed there was a small theory going around that the doors don't just manipulate space but also time. With the ending of Monsters Inc 1 this theory might actually still make sense since despite the amount of time has passed for the monsters to change how the factory worked and all that Boo at the end of the movie still sounded the same implying she hasn't aged at all or very little, hence the time differences.

Good theory but not possible. When boo's door opened for the first time they clearly had a map up and it showed North America. The east coast to be more specific. So if anyone is the father it has to be someone on the east coast of America or Canada.
