or realize that some jetskis don’t have a brake-reverse system and start up moving forward

Forgot a major part.

You can’t turn if you’re not on the throttle when riding. You left off, you can crank those bars anyway you like, you’re moving forward still.

It does go slightly forward in neutral or slightly backwards depending on the bike manufacturer

Actually, if you fall off without killswitch, jetski will not go away from you too far. The steering is never perfectly positioned right in thd middle, so it will run in circles around the same one point and you will have a plenty of time to practice how to get onto jetski running at 4-5mph 😂😂 this is possible however tricky. You need to wait jetski come back, grab the side of jetski and go with it, then quickly get onto it (you most probably will not be able to hold the side for a long time as water resistance is extremely high even at 5mph). Dont be afraid of the jet, without throttle pressed it will not hurt you much, it is mostly like a massage if you wear neoprene.

Oh how I'd love to see you on a 90s-2000s model where is it's either forward or off😂😂

That kid’s never been on a jet ski when they came out in the early 80s. There was no forward, neutral or reverse. You start it and it’s moving forward. Back then the only way to stop it is it cut it off as you approach a pier, and hope like hell you didn’t run into it

What type of place is this?? The cabins with the water in between. I’m a beginner jet skier so id feel comfortable finding a place like this as close as possible to NY to practice before I ski on a larger body of water

The jetski turns because it has ibr which adds throttle when you do a steering input

Not all jet skis are designed the same and the kill switch only shuts off the engine it will not stop it I will keep going until it slows which means that you will have a lot of swimming to do

Rode an old ski 1995 a while back my buddy had. Got to the middle of the lake and fell off. Didn’t know you have to keep the speed. They never told me. Almost sunk the thing trying to get back on and tight buttholed all the way back with a half sunken ski. Never again.

From reading all the other comments, it really looks like OP ought to remove this video and redo it. He's not even in a JetSki for crying out loud! He has a perfect opportunity to a) explain why many people call all PWC "jetski", b) talk about how the SeaDoo he rides differs from the actual brand name JetSki, c) discuss the marvelous IBR system in his SeaDoo, and d) tell us where that gorgeous place is!

That’s a SeaDoo..JetSki is produced by Kawasaki and has completely different controls.
