My mother inlaw leases a new Jeep Grand Cherokee every 3 years. They’re constantly in the shop and have so many rattles, squeaks and are literally falling apart after just 3 years.
We keep begging her to buy a 4Runner but she refuses.

I remember when foreign cars started to out sale American cars. For years American brands relied on the fact Americans would continue to by American, while they did nothing to improve their quality or reliability. Then Toyota, and Honda announced they where going to start building cars in the US. That was pretty much the end to Americans will always buy from American owned manufactures.

My daughter has a Ford Escape Titanium 2013 with like 60, 000 miles. It has the 2.0L turbo engine and has been totally reliable.

I have over 45, 000 miles on my 21 Jeep Gladiator and have not experienced any problems at all. I drive my Gladiator on a daily basis.

All manufacturers engines are becoming terrible. Tiny 4 cylinders with tiny turbochargers in huge cars and trucks. Long gone are the days of 200k+ mile Toyotas and Fords

Comparing American, German, British, Italian, Japanese & Korean manufacturers, its easy to say that the Japanese make the best cars, followed by Koreans. Their cars in this modern day n age last long, look decent without any major troubles over the years.
Ive owned/driven only Japanese & Korean over the last 20 years & much happier for it.
