I had a '70 Maverick and it was a good and fun car to drive. The front suspensions were crap but overall it was a neat little car.

If you're going to make these videos get your facts straight. None of these cars were performance cars. They were as good or better than what was sold at the time. They might not have been hemi Challengers but they saw a lot of people many miles

You are wrong about the Maverick. It was very popular and out sold the Mustang. In fact Ford tried to cancel the Maverick because of this issue but was unable to due to sales until 1977.

Only good thing about malaise era American cars. They were very easy to hot rod, “upgrade” engine and other drivetrain stuff. Chuck out wheezy 267 v8 that had 115hp to 350 or bigger V8 with 300+ hp engine. Was very cheap install and took a day or 2 to do. Gas mileage didn’t suffer that much.

Did anyone know this Easter Egg?:

Chevy, Olds, Pontiac and Buick, in that order spelled

Nova, Omega, Ventura and Apollo, it was done on purpose, since the Nova was the flagship of the X body cars...

If I remember correctly all these cars we're rushed to market the thought was the dealerships can sort out the flaws what a joke the consumers deserved better than that

It's a funny thing that if nobody wants any of these cars back WHY IS EVERY ONE OF THEM HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER COLLECTOR

You forgot to mention the Pacer's oversized passenger door which was touted by AMC as "super useful for long / wide loads and passengers.
The passenger door was 4" longer than the driver's side door and I believe it was a bit taller as well, but I could be wrong about the height difference.

The Chevrolet Chevette by General Motors was a fantastic automobile for its time. Had new and 1976 and purchased again in 1987. Both of them were fantastic automobiles. no issues

Back in 1975, my Mom's best friend bought a new Ford Maverick. Even when new, the car had an odd engine problem: sometimes, after turning the car off, the engine would shudder and shake for a second or two. I remember that the problem was hard for mechanics to diagnose, because the problem would never occur when my Mom's friend tried to demonstrate it for the mechanic. Still, she kept the car for 7 or 8 years, before finally trading it in for a new Toyota Camry in the early 80s.

Everybody I knew who owned a Pacer loved it, no matter what anybody said about them.

One thing you have to remember anything built after 72 was seriously detuned because of emissions standards. Most engines had the compression reduced and engine timing retarded. This caused sluggish performance and didn't help the fuel mileage either. No dought Detroit made some junk in the 70s and 80s
