With the 37th remake of the 1960 remake of the Japanese film Seven Samurai coming out next weekend, I thought it would be a nice time to rewatch the original remake. ...that was a bit confusing.

So how does it hold?

I’ve been keeping up with your content across multiple channels over the years. The first ever video I saw of you was the 2016 magnificent seven review! Congratulations, man!

My only problem is something they can’t help but due to the sound quality, I couldn’t really understand the plot as the characters sound like they’re mumbling

Ha! I have that shirt! Great review! I haven't seen the original, but you got me a little curious to see it. I'm super excited for the new one. So excited I got a really cool western themed video I'm posting Tuesday afternoon which I'm super excited about! Great review, love your channel!

Well done. I think that is a very accurate summary of the film. With such a amazing cast and score, I can’t help but play what-if scenarios in my head, regarding alternate endings. I think they were on the verge of a near-perfect movie but missed by a tiny-yet-significant bit. Like, what if when they return to the town after initial defeat, they hatch a mission-impossible style plan involving everyone which goes well at first, but then falls apart leading to some impromptu badass knife moves from Coburn and self-sacrificing heroics from Vahan before the rest of the cast lays waste to the bad guys?

Have you watched any of the sequel movies? Yul Brynner did another that was probably the worst of the 4, George Kennedy did the second best imo and Lee Van Cleef did another.

All are worth a watch if you haven’t seen them, especially Guns of the Magnificent Seven. The George Kennedy one

Nice review! Again, I agree with you! My favourite 60's movie is probably The Italian Job.
