Episode 87

Attic Raiders Retro Reviews takes a look at how to play the deductive elimination board game SpyWeb (Spy Web) released by Parker Brothers in 1997 and later released as an Action Man board game in 1998.

"Step into the world of international spies and untangle the secrets of SPY WEB. You and your opponent have each selected and hidden a spy leader in a safehouse in a major world capital. By careful interrogation and brilliant deductions, you must answer these two questions: Who is your rival's leader? Where is he or she hiding?

Collect the clues and solve the mystery, and you'll collect the bounty on that spy's head. Be first to collect a million dollars in reward money, and you win SPY WEB... the game of eavesdropping... finger-pointing... and spying!"

This is a fun two player game. Played this a lots with my nephews. I love the names of the spies. Guess who meets Battleship. Nice review as always!

This one is definitely news to me too, it does look good though!

Oh, when we ever lose pegs, we just cut the end off a ear cotton bud, they usually fit perfectly :)

Nice that Parker Brothers included that molded‐plastic board assembly with the hinged spymaster indicators. The sculpting, the moving pieces, and the decals really ramp up the perceived production value (at little cost, I expect) and instill the feeling of a toy‐filled, action-packed playtime.

Of course, we can see that you bring your own spy toys to the game table…

Thanks for another review. Something new for me. I really like mechanism of this game. Interesting and fun to play. However, I would prefer different theme. I would rather this as a some spooky monsters graveyard battle or maybe piracy adventure. Then definitely I would buy it.
