Here's the thing, kakashi had depression from everyone he cared about dieing back to back basically. So he never truly trained to reach his full potential. With everyone alive he wouldn't be depressed, thus he would most likely still have motivation and drive to train to get stronger. Meaning he may just rival or surpass his guilt ridden sharingan counterpart.

I imagine Nagato would freeze a little once he sees Kushina, an Uzumaki mother with red hair fighting for her family's lives, because Nagato's own mother was also an Uzumaki with red hair who died fighting to protect him. He would see this connection after Konan begs him to look around at the suffering he is causing in the Leaf.

We need more of these. Also, I'd argue that Kakashi would have been, while not as strong as in canon, but still stronger. Mind you, the Sharingan kept draining his chakra, hampering his quality and duration of training. He was the son of one of Konoha's most powerful shinobi. Yes, his arsenal would be more limited, but knowing him, he'd complement it by normal training, since he would have had more chakra without a sharingan eating through it.

Personally, I go with the idea that Uchiha transplant eyes rather than fuse them. So when Itachi gets Fugaku's eyes, he passes his own eyes to Sasuke, both getting EMS. Then, working in the universe that the Uchiha consider their eyes sacred, Sasuke's preserved eyes would be transplanted into Fugaku to bring it all full circle.

Nick, I am currently going through a really rough time in my life and I’ve been full of constant anxiety for some time now.
Listening to this story, forgetting about all of it for 34 min I felt an actual weight lift off of my chest even for a time.
I cheered, I gasped and my heart was moved. This story understands the characters and the core of Naruto so well it’s elevated beyond fan fiction. To me this is a very real alternate universe.
You truly have a gift in your writing and your retelling of it.

Naruto seems to be left out of this story a lot. Granted he won't have the Nine tails, but since he would have trained under Minato, Jiraiya and Kakashi, I thought he would be strong enough to join the fight against Pain. At least he would be by Kushina's side with Obito. Also, Rin should have been mentioned somewhere in this video.

I like to think that after Minato saved his family and Obito, Naruto was also using flying raijin to save villagers, considering you seemed to mention Naruto going to where his mother was after the village was wiped, and then just.... forgot he was there

I absolutely loved your character arc for Konan.
She deserved so much more than she got.
She, at the end of everything, was once again all alone. Her faith in nagatos warped perception of the world did everything they were supposed to stop. She, in an attempt to end all war to stop people losing loved ones, ended up all alone with all the people she ever loved having been killed by the wars they perpetuated

I actually think kakahsi would be stronger than in the original because his sharigan wouldn't be always draining his chakra and he'd have better stamina.

Something that Mick messed up on in his script/train of consciousness dialogue:
Since Obito never took it upon himself to take revenge on the Mist, that means that Yagura didn't get the genjutsu put on him, and the rain of defections (and likely even the hunter nin division) wouldn't have occured. Zabuza is therefore in the village still, since he had no reason to kill Yagura, and Haku is probably still with his family, because the bloodline purges probably didn't occur.

But most importantly, because the defections didn't happen, that means that Utakata didn't defect. He's probably not just sticking around in the village doing nothing, but he'd be in a position to get reinforcements.

My problem with the theory as presented, is that you have Madara going to Nagato after Nagato summons the Gedo Statue, but wouldn't the summoning of the statue kill Madara as soon as he is disconnected? Black Zetsu would be more likely to be the one visiting Nagato instead.
