MY MOM RECENTLY DIED FROM ACUTE LIVER FAILURE. SHE HAD SICKLE CELL ANEMIA WITH BETA THALASSEMIA AND THE DOCTORS BELIEVED SHE WAS SICKLING IN HER LIVER! HER LIVER DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO PROCESS WHAT WAS HAPPENING TO IT, SO IT JUST SHUT DOWN. THEY WERE READY TO DO A TRANSFUSION EXCHANGE BUT MOM SAID YOU KNOW WHAT…I’M GOING TOWARDS THE LIGHT AND THEY CAME FOR HER! MOM WAS A GOD FEARING WOMAN AND SUCCUMBED TO THE FACT THAT SHE WASN’T GOING TO MAKE IT! IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR ME AS HER SON AND CAREGIVER AND FOR MY BROTHER AS WELL. HOWEVER, SHE HAD LIVED WELL BEYOND HER LIFE EXPECTANCY AS WELL AS MY FAVORITE AUNTIE HER OLDER SISTER. SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AS WELL AS A BEAUTIFUL SOUL…I MISS HER SO SO MUCH😢😢😢, BUT I BELIEVE I WILL SEE HER AGAIN AND SOON!

This is the best YouTube video I've seen on this subject. Thank you. I experienced years of chronic Hep C that progressed to end-stage liver disease and liver cancer. I spent five years on the liver transplant list before receiving my transplant in 2016. I am indeed grateful and doing well. I was never one to try any alternative magical cures of any kind. Education, experience, and training ruled them out very quickly. My recommendation to anyone experiencing a diagnosis of liver disease is to do your due diligence on medical centers and doctors and then commit yourself to follow the protocols worked out for you by the team of hepatologists and be the best possible patient you can be. In addition, you will want to be sure to eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. I switched to a vegetarian diet and rode my bike every day, even to frequent clinic visits and doctor appointments. It was a 35-mile round trip, which I made on average, four times each week. Best of luck to you and do take care of yourself.

Just starting my liver repair journey, after decades of abuse my body is finally giving out and I'm experiencing the first stages of liver failure. The hardest part is learning to live without the alcohol and drugs.

Behavior issues like aggression and anger isn’t spoken of. I’m not myself mentally. I’m triggered, angry, and it’s scary.

Another underrated common cause of liver failure: Eating too much processed foods/refined sugars over time. Being a junk food addict in my 20's and 30's didnt help my situation.

So I have a friend (for real, I swear it’s not me lol) who has cirrhosis (end stage liver failure). She’s had symptoms for over a year. She needs a transplant, but without knowing many details, she is currently ineligible (she was on the list, but now I believe has been removed) for a transplant, because her blood is weak, and messed up, and she’s anemic. She gets very bad random bruising, and she feels nauseous and tired and can’t do much. She gets blood transfusions pretty regularly, and probably has stayed in the hospital (for days at a time) at least three times this year alone. She still drinks. Can anyone tell me if this sounds like compensated or decompensated cirrhosis? I’ve googled the prognosis for this, and the life expectancy between compensated and de-compensated is very different. I’m just trying to prepare myself. I don’t have the heart to ask her for her MELD scores.

Getting affected from liver problems itself a serious problem. I suffered from this a year ago After consulting many and taking many medicines I was not able to get any positive results. But on someone’s suggestion I took liver care pack of Planet Ayurveda and got very effective results. I am very thankful to Planet Ayurveda.
